Social Profile:

After retiring in August, 1983 with 26 years of service to the Houston Police Department, J.W. Kelley started Kelley’s Country Cookin. Our first location was inside Lang’s Pharmacy at 8015 Park Place at the Gulf Freeway. We began with 9 devoted employees and a seating capacity of 50. Today, the entire Kelley family takes pride in ownership and we now have seven locations, employ over 600 and have a combined seating capacity of approximately 1600. We could not have achieved this level of success without our loyal customers who continue to patronize us and make Kelley’s a regular part of their lives. So from our family to yours, thank you for your support and be assured that we will always serve the best quality in Country Cookin’ RTTW

Family-owned chain serving breakfast & classic American comfort food in an old-school setting.

First time coming to Kelly’s I was excited. At first it felt welcoming service was good at this point. Food was served in a timely manner and delicious. The reason I didn’t give service or a better rating was due that my friend and I felt rushed eating there. About 10mins in the server she just pops in saying all done here need boxes to go. We just stayed stunned like no we still eating but she insisted like are you sure so we just decided then and there you know what bring two boxes and the check. I was disappointed I was rushed I didn’t even get to eat half of my food. Even a table across me that finished their food was there talking when we had just sat in the table and they were not rushed out. We had to honestly finish our food back at home. Even I didn’t get to enjoy the ambiance of the place. And the place was not even busy I had seen about 7 tables being used.

Hey, Queenz & Kingz ! I just had thee most delightful breakfast experience at
Kelly’s Country Cookin this morning!

If you’re looking for a spot that serves HUGE portions without breaking thee bank, this is thee place to be. Thee warm, welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home, and trust me, you won’t leave hungry!

I indulged in their hearty breakfast platter, and every bite was a comforting reminder of good old-fashioned cooking. Thee friendly staff adds to thee charm, making your visit even more enjoyable.

As I savor these moments, I’m reminded of Queenz Fashions 41yfe L.L.C mission with Blood Money Industries to raise awareness for our community’s blood needs. Supporting local establishments like Kelly’s not only fills our bellies but strengthens our community ties.

So, if you’re in thee mood for a delicious meal and want to support a great place, head over to Kelly’s Country Cookin! ❤️

Let’s keep spreading thee word about thee importance of blood donations while enjoying some fantastic food! What’s your go-to breakfast dish?

Every day of the week they offer a $13.99 daily special. Your choice of one meat and three sides. I got the baked chicken and dressing for the meat choice and fried okra and 2 broccoli cheese casseroles as the side choices. They baked chicken was seasoned well and the dressing moist. The fried okra was fried perfectly and the broccoli cheese casserole was very good. A great lunch special at a great price. The food was very good and there is always leftovers as the servings are big.

Great food and service. Big portions and very reasonable price. Unfortunately there is not one close to us but we still try to go once or twice a month.
I was a bit disappointed this morning because I had to drop my niece off at Hobby Airport and figured I would just pick breakfast up to bring home. We live by 610 and 45 north. Kelly’s is by 610 and 45 south. When I get home and get everything out, I see that they did not include syrup for the pancakes. When I called to let them know. They said I could come back and pick some up. But other than that they couldn’t do anything about it because the syrup is complimentary. They bring you syrup when you eat it there. What if I had been going to eat it at the airport or somewhere else besides home. I would have had pancakes dry without syrup.

I was in the mood for chicken fried steak. A friend suggested trying Kelley’s Country Cookin. So glad he did.

Sometimes the combination of batter and seasoning can make chicken fried steak too salty. That was not the case here at all! The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were also delicious!

I am shocked and appalled at how disgustimg this experience at Kelley’s was. Kelley’s is a name I have known and trusted for my whole life, I have never had a bad experience at the one in La Marque, League City, etc. I was a cook for 12 years of my life, and I would never serve a customer anything this crappy with a good conscience. This time was beyond subpar, it was nowhere what I would call decent food or anything approaching what I expected when I spent the $30 for two meals. The gravy was the consistency of water, the fish was thin and all breading, and cocktail and tartar sauce for the fish were thin and junky as well! Kelley’s should do the world a favor and shut this location down if they want to preserve their reputation. I will never go to this location again and will recommend no one I know does either. Garbage!

I googled tripleD to find a unique, local restaurant and Kelley’s came up in the search. I was surprised there are multiple locations, maybe my search result got hacked (sponsored). It definitely seems like a local place and old skool, but the food is boring. Big, but boring.

Enjoyed grilled fish weekday special meal with carrot raisin salad. Husband enjoyed fried chicken strip appetizer and cornbread muffin. Lots of variety in menu. Good value.

Nothing fancy about this establishment but food is served in huge portions so if you’re hungry, this is the place to visit! I always bring home leftovers. Food is usually tasty. I just can’t get over the portion sizes served. Just way too much food for one sitting. They sure do deep fry many items on their menu. It would be nice if they added fried brussels sprouts to their menu .
