Without any explanation or courtesy, she responded, “Someone else will help you,” and completely dismissed me. What made it worse is that she was not busy, not helping anyone else, and clearly not doing anything at the moment — yet she chose attitude over service.
This was not just poor customer service; it was blatant disrespect. No professionalism, no basic human decency, and an attitude that made it very clear she did not want to help at all.
I couldn’t help but question whether I was treated this way because I am Hispanic. I don’t make that assumption lightly, but when you are met with unnecessary hostility for a simple, polite request, it raises serious concerns.
Starbucks should seriously reconsider who they hire and how they train their staff. Allowing employees with this kind of behavior creates a hostile and unwelcoming environment for customers. If this continues, it’s only a matter of time before these issues escalate beyond online reviews.
I will absolutely not be returning to this location.
