Decided to try this place out last night. (Monday night). It was surprisingly busy, but we were able to sit right down at the bar. Lots of bar seating, high top tables as well as regular tables. Menu looked pretty extensive which was great as there is something for everyone. From burgers to salmon, fish and chips to salads. Bartender was very pleasant and helpful. They also had a pretty extensive beer list with some local brews. Food was good, your average pub fare. Ordered the southwest salad, it was very good, but next time I would order light dressing. I personally would have liked a little spicier, seeing as it was a southwest style salad, there wasnt much of a spice to it, but I know that that is really a personal taste. All in all the food was good, wasn’t long before our orders were in front of us. Would definitely eat here again.

Stopped by the Trap for the first time the other day and overall I wasn’t mad at it. The parking lot is tight, especially when busy. But the restaurant itself was spacious and decorated nicely. We were sat in a dining area off to the front that did get a little noisy.

Our waitress was friendly but not overly personable. However, she did get the job done. Another waiter brought over an extra chair that the party in the table in front of us didn’t need so he left it right in front of my party so we couldn’t get out. A little weird but not the end of the world.

For dinner we started with the fried pickles. They were nice and crispy and portion was pretty generous for $10. We could have used more of the sauce though. My main meal was the chicken parm sandwich with tater tots. The sandwich I felt was a little small for the price tag. Chicken was cut into strips with some funky pieces and not overly crispy. Tater tots were an extra $2 but the container they came in wasn’t an impressive size either.

So, why three stars? The Trap isn’t a bad restaurant but I felt that the price didn’t justify average food. I think I’d come back again to try something else in the future though.

Disappointed. Expected better. Our scheduled office Christmas get together and the holiday decor was minimal at best. No effort there. Nine of us ordered the steak tips, I would call them steak pieces. They were tasty but only took up 1/4 of the plate if that. It was like you ordered the steak tips but you got a huge bowl of au gratin potatoes( they were quite delicious) with a side of steak pieces. The plate presentation was also non-existent. And why even bother with the broccoli? Not a fan.

This event space at The Trap North is a hidden gem and it needs more publicity! Erin and Justin are literally the best and easiest staff members to work with. They put you at such ease when hosting an event here. They met every expectation when I hosted my daughter’s baby shower! The atmosphere and food are both amazing! The staff is engaging and professional! Top notch!
Plan your next event here… you will not be disappointed!!!

Stopped here for lunch. Crowd was a luttle young and loud. Service was quick and attentive. The food, for what we got was good. Specials online do not match with their menu…ordered $5 pizza and was charged $14. Watched 2 women be escorted out for being too drunk. Our waitress was also a little intoxicated. Got very crowded and all paths leading anywhere were blocked by ignorant people. May try again…but probably not.

“I recently hosted a rehearsal dinner in the downstairs wine cellar at The Trap North, and it was an unforgettable experience. The event space was stunning, and the service was truly exceptional. I highly recommend The Trap North to anyone planning a special event!”

Ordered the steak tips, medium rare, they nailed it. The potatoes were awesome! The were like a mashed, au gratin, momentarily spicy, cheesy concoction that they baked… Absolutely fantastic…

Paired with the “Summer of 69” tequila based beverage made this a perfect little Saturday night dinner…

Staff was super sweet, checking in and chatting, quick with the food and beverages, and we never had to wait and search…

The food came out cold and the grilled cheese was not edible. The bread was stale and the cheese had mold on it. When we nicely asked the waitress to heat up the food and replace the grilled cheese, she rolls her eyes and says “I’ll ask about it”. 10 minutes later she starts reaching across the table and knocks over half my cocktail without even an apology. She made us feel like we were burdening her.
This place is okay for sitting around the bar and having a couple drinks, (drinks are good), but the food and one waitress there is awful.

Had the Bistro burger med rear. Cooked perfectly. Over all good food.
I was very disappointed with cashing out. My bill showed two different prices 1st non cash price & cash price. The non cash price was 1.75 more than the cash price. So you are making your customers pay for using credit/debit.
I feel that it is absurd you charge more for card use. That place is always busy so I dont understand why you dont absorb the 1.75 or adjust your prices to reflect the charge.
I think it is totally ridiculous that you do this.
I put a 2 star review in hopes

The owner Martucci Group will respond.

I cannot rate the food because when stepping into a “pub” at 9:00pm I was told it would be $5 each for entry. I could slightly understand $5 in total, even though it’s a pub… But $5 each is beyond me. That’s modern robbery. You guys are a pub restaurant, not a club. There were kids in there.. Do you guys charge families that same rate or just couples?
