The wait at Farmer Brown’s was too long, so we popped across the street to the Fire Barn. We were seated immediately and our waitress took our order promptly. The drinks were very good and the food came out pretty fast — shrimp baskets and fries. The only negative was that the cocktail sauce appeared to have been packaged and perhaps frozen well in advance of our being there. Everything else was better than good!

Great place in Waterloo! I had the fried pickle spears with ranch, big engine pork tenderloin, and peach margaritas. All of it was amazing. The tenderloin sandwich was massive, I had to take half home. It was very well seasoned, crispy, and the toppings were fresh and tasty. The onion rings were battered not breaded and they were good, but it’s not my favorite way of cooking/eating them. The pickle spears were crunchy and everyone agreed the breading they used held up really well and wasn’t soggy or weird even after sitting for a while. My only “complaint” is that they were out of the blood orange margarita stuff, but even still, the peach ones were pretty good. I will say, kinda pricy for the amount of alcohol I got though. My coworkers got: the special – chicken fried chicken, the Rueben, and the prime rib burger. The chips that came with the burger were crispy and not at all what I thought I was in for. Less kettle cooked, more lays (but better) if that makes sense. The chips and queso was also a very good app to start – if you don’t like spicy queso, this would be good for you, it’s a very mild heat vs actual kick. Couldn’t comment on the burger/special/Rueben but they either cleaned their plates or took the rest with so it must’ve been pretty good 🙂 overall I def recommend it, and will be back in the future. For reference, two drinks, an app, and an entree was $40, not including tip.

An enjoyable sports bar, with a large selection of beers on tap. My experience was for lunch on a Saturday, the place had plenty of seating and was not over crowded. Food is reasonably priced, with there being a daily special. I had the prime rib sandwich and fries. I would be interested in trying some other menu items. Fire barn is a nice place to get together with family or friends.

Ordered takeout and it was awful. Chicken Caesar salad was small, rotten lettuce, actually not romaine like it says, no croutons or cheese. Bacon on the cheeseburger was barely cooked. Won’t be back..

We had the BEST server (Cassidi)!!! We had to send back our burgers and a drink and she was so cooperative and kind about the situation. Such great food too!! They did have a few mistakes in our order but the meals ended up so amazing and wonderful. Will definitely go again!

We’ve eaten here past 3 years … never had bad food. Taco Tuesdays are great and daily specials even better. Can get really busy. Good menu selection and fair prices. Outdoor seating is nice. Give it a try!

My family and I have been coming here or getting takeout for years. Staff is always awesome. Every time we go in we’re greeted with a smile. We went in today and our server showed us the new changes with the menu. The queso is new and delicious and I had the best burger I’ve ever tasted. Whoever made these changes…two thumbs up. I love this place

Update: Went to the restaurant and had a blast with the kids. Food tasted great. Weird vibe with the bingo like game that was ensuing but it was all good. Customer service was on point.
Update: Manager Ty called and said they would replace the meal if we gave them another try. We will update once we do, and a star for reaching out cause it shows they care…. Orig. post: We wanted to like it but the food was horrible. Bone pile is exactly that. Tasted like boiled meat and smelled bad. The side of mixed veg was good but you only get 1/2 cup. Bone in wings are tiny and have no taste. Overcooked. Texas toothpicks were replaced unknowingly with onion rings. Chicken tenders and onion rings were tasty but for $57 i should have went to the cheesecake factory. For real!

I wanted this to be a five star experience. Beautiful and clean, lots of good food options, and decent selection of craft beer at good prices. However, an hour later of waiting, the food is incredibly slow to come out. Was not busy at all, maybe a third full but took over an hour to get our food. Did not have pizza or something that I would expect to take a long time.
