I went back the next day for another pepperoni and it was just as good!
Third time a few days later, same pizza!
I will continue to come to Lugano Pizza if I am driving by for a delicious pizza
The pizza ingredient breakdown:
– The mozzarella cheese is meaty in texture and umami making it filling (for the stomach and the soul) in itself
– Not too much marinara sauce without making the pizza dry. The sauce is a mild tomato: not too acidic or sweet bringing the two opposing flavours into equilibrium
– Medium crust thickness. The crust is good but not by itself— consider adding a dipping sauce to add flavour and offset the buttery bread while reducing food waste (shameless sustainability plug)
When I ordered, they accidentally combined the ingredients between two pizzas leaving one pizza loaded and the other lacking in toppings (unfortunately it was I who drew the short stick) reducing the review to four stars.
A lot of local hype, but it didn’t deliver. It’s a thicker, softer, greasier pie that would be better for a quick slice after a night out than for a main course. Would not recommend, as the quality and flavour just aren’t there.
Crust: 5.5 / 10
Chewy, soft, slightly soggy, and didn’t hold the toppings. Opted for plain cheese with the second for this reason.
Sauce: 6 / 10
Basic, nothing remarkably good or bad.
Cheese: 6 / 10
Again, unremarkable. You get a fair amount but the already soft crust can’t handle it.
Toppings: 5.5 / 10
Generic, bacon crumble, mostly canned. Nothing fancy or tasty here.
Would definitely recommend trying this if you are in the area.
Lugano’s is the real deal — the original gangster of pizza joints in Burlington. This place has been slinging slices since forever, and I’ve been loyal for just as long. Why? Because they never miss.
The pizza? Always on point. We’re talking fresh, pillowy dough that’s got just the right amount of chew, tangy tomato sauce that hits with flavor, and toppings that are totally customizable — you dream it, they make it. And it’s not just the pie that’s consistent — the staff are super friendly and always make you feel like you’re part of the fam.
Seating is tight, but honestly, the window countertop is a vibe. Grab a slice, post up, and people-watch on the main drag of Burlington like it’s your own little pizza runway show.
This isn’t just a pizza place — it’s a Burlington institution. Long live Lugano’s!
I havent seen prices like this since pre-pandemic. One filling slice was not even 4 dollars! I chose all the meats pizza and hubby got Hawaiian. I wish there was more meat on the hawaiian but no complains from me! The price is unbeatable.
Service was good. Owner was friendly and fast. Pizza was hot. They had things on the side you could add so i added tons of parmesan cheese on both.
If im ever in this neck of the woods and want a fast cheap hot slice of pizza, id go here again.
