Our daughter is handicapped and uses a service that takes her into the community each week. On their excursions, they shop and also have lunch. Last week she and her helper chose New Hong Kongs for lunch, which they have done several times recently because she loves Chinese food. On last week’s visit, the manager came to the table and informed our daughters helper that when visiting there they neglected to leave a tip on their visit. Mind you they have been there to eat several times But…they know our daughter and know she is handicapped. We give her $20.00 on her days out to shop and eat. With the prices today for her to choose this restaurant was a compliment to the food.
She always takes in her drink and eats very little but she pays full price. Shame on you manager! To attempt to shame a handicapped person for not leaving a tip is disgraceful. She will not, by her own decision, go back to your restaurant again

This place brought back memories. I left home (waycross) almost 12 years ago. I came back recently to visit and decided to have a taste of nostalgia. It’s been 15 years since I visited this restaurant, and nothing has changed. (Well maybe the employees of course)
The food was okay. In Houston, where I lived, the Chinese buffets were a lot worse and more expensive than the New Hong Kong. I could easily eat here again.

Great buffet and friendly staff!! Amazing experience over all, mostly chinese dining style food (noodles, rice and veggies, shrimp, fish, sushi, egg drop soup, etc.) But they had some AMAZING steak and french fries too! And pizza! Really versatile and even has a great dessert bar with a separate ice cream bar. It was not a long wait at all and the waitress was super friendly! I would definitely recommend!!

If you are in Waycross this is the place to stop and eat at. It was so delicious with melted butter to dip your shrimp and sauce for your egg foo young. Even a variety of different ice creams for the little ones. I will definitely be going back, might have to make a trip soon.

Everything was old. Nothing was fresh. Not at all impressed. The best thing they had was the watermelon and cantaloupe. Never wasted so much food trying to find SOMETHING I would like. Didn’t happen… Would not recommend and would not come back again.. mine and my mother’s first time, and last time. Sorry NHK. Not for us. Very disappointed ☹️

If i could do 0 stars i would. Server was very nice tho. Food was bland with no flavor, no lables so no idea what certain things were. Really greasy and over cooked fried foods. Tried a little of almost everything so I could give it a chance. Crab ragoon so over cooked, couldn’t taste anything due to not being able to bite it. And to top it off a roach was in my sprite under the ice they took 25% off bill

My wife and I are new to the area. We were looking for some sushi for dinner. After looking at their website we decided to head over. What a mistake. They don’t offer sushi even though its in the website the buffet was not that attractive, I had know idea what I was putting on my plate, and all the food was bland and had no flavor. The restaurant was clean and the staff were attentive when you needed your drink full also, the price was pretty decent. I will say that my stomach was tore up for a couple days though so be mindful. I’m pretty sure that was my one and only time eating there.
