Second time eating here for lunch. Both times have absolutely loved the shrimp burger and fries. These shrimp are fried with a light batter and are so crispy and good. Coleslaw is sweet and I like that it is served on the side versus dumped on top of the sandwich. Comes with cocktail and tartar sauce both which are very good. Fries are also great. Husband had the mahi tacos and had it prepared blackened. Came with a mango salsa, regular salsa, and sour cream along with beans and rice. He devoured them! Decent variety of beverages to choose from. Nice outdoor seating if the weather is good and indoor seating if the weather is not. Service is attentive not intrusive.

We really like this place, have been here a couple of times now. Our server was great and very accommodating and the food is really good. Everyone in our party had something different – burger, shrimp melt, chicken tenders – and it was all prepared well and fast! Love the views in the back on the water!

Can’t imagine a better experience! Our server, Nicole, was fantastic! Our food was so good! (I love love loved my Firecracker shrimp quesadilla!). The view was amazing (we sat on the deck overlooking all the boats and people playing!)! Prices were great…. Yep, super happy!

My husband and I enjoyed our meals. He got a chicken wrap with chips and salsa. He said it was pretty good and was basically a burrito with rice. I got a seafood plate with fried flounder with fries and slaw as my sides. It also came with tarter sauce and cocktail sauce. I usually get white fresh with little to no fish taste so this one wasn’t too bad. It still had a bit of fishy taste but not overpowering. The service was good and our waitress was nice. The view of the boats going in and out was the best part.

Great place for lunch. Sitting on the porch overlooking Taylor’s Creek, most enjoyable.
I had a bowl which is actually served on a plate. The glaze gave it just a touch of sweetness. Wife had some kinda fancy salad. Both were really tasty.

We went on a girls birthday trip and ended up running across this restaurant. The folks who work here were really sweet the whole time. Having a view on the water outside was really nice. The food was so good. The hot crab dip was amazing and my shrimp burrito was perfect. And the homemade chips that came with my plate were really good also. And my friend loved her burger and said the fries were perfect. If I’m in town I would definitely go back.

3 Stars – Beautiful Setting, but Food Missed the Mark

Finz Grill has a fantastic view of the inlet, with lots of boating activity and a dock just off the back. The seating area was clean, comfortable, and the service was friendly and adequate. I definitely recommend sitting outside if the weather allows — it’s a great place to relax and watch the boats go by.

I started with the crab dip, which was good but not particularly memorable. It was served with a lightly toasted roll sliced into small pieces — enjoyable enough while taking in the view.

Unfortunately, the main course was disappointing. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and while the shrimp were nicely cooked, the dish overall felt incomplete. It had a strange mix of undercooked vegetables and odd seasoning combinations that just didn’t come together. I didn’t even finish the plate, which is rare for me, especially with one of my usual favorite dishes.

Prices were reasonable for the location, but overall, the food experience didn’t live up to the beautiful setting.

I ordered the Crab dip and the shrimp burger. The crab dip was delicious, would definitely order again. My shrimp sandwich was fried shrimp on a plain bun which seemed strange or incomplete but they give you a little coleslaw on the side and tarter sauce and cocktail sauce…so I assembled everything and got lettuce from my husbands plate and put together my own sandwich which everything tasted really good but thought it was odd to recieve just the fried shrimp on the bun. Fries were yummy and they have good ranch. We sat outside, weather was lovely. Our waitress Lauren was wonderful.

Great staff and bar tender. Horrible food. They were out of lettuce for sandwiches. Chicken sandwich was not seasoned at all. Cole she’s tasted like fish had dripped into the pan. Over fried, burned the nachos. Limited menu. Will not be back. Such a shame because the water bites from the bar are nice. Prime location but limited seating.

This was our very first meal in Beaufort and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The firecracker shrimp were the perfect balance of sweet and hot. The onion rings were huge and flavored just right where you don’t even need ketchup. My husband got the burger and he said it was delicious, oh and their fries are crispy and lightly seasoned I loved it. Our waitress was awesome too, she made funny jokes and our view on the water made everything perfect. Highly recommend this place! Lastly, the rum runner is 2 thumbs up!
