Replicate the Magic
This was one of our best “end of a long day” meals. We ordered chicken katsu curry and pan-fried gyoza, and it absolutely hit the spot: warm, filling, and exactly what we wanted after being out in the sun and driving around. We also had a really kind, memorable interaction here that made the stop feel extra human in the middle of busy travel days. We featured it in our YouTube video, search for “Replicate the Magic” on YouTube to find it.

If you’re looking for a break from the Maui food truck scene without breaking the bank, this is a solid sit-down alternative that hits the spot. It’s definitely not an “upscale” establishment—the vibe is casual and unpretentious—but it’s a perfect spot for a satisfying meal.
* Black Garlic & Pork Ramen: The broth has a deep, earthy richness from the black garlic oil, paired with tender pork.
* Large Portions: You definitely won’t leave hungry; the servings are generous.
* Value Pricing: Offers great value for the amount of food, especially compared to some smaller, pricier options at nearby food trucks.
* Friendly Service: The staff is welcoming and efficient, contributing to the comfortable atmosphere.

Visited Ramen Bones our first night in Maui.

The black garlic ramen was amazing. The broth was very rich and flavorful, with plenty of noodles (some places don’t serve enough noodles, plenty to be had here).

Appetizers were all good, only concern was the gyozas were warm, but not hot. Didn’t take away from the experience. The pork buns were amazing, fresh and paired with a delicious sauce.

Would recommend for a hearty meal after a day or travel and adventure.

it’s a great spot in Kihei in a perfect location. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Most of the reviews love this restaurant and that’s great.

My opinion is based on the broths. We had four different soup types and they were all good and hit the spot, but didn’t have particularly spectacular taste. And it wasn’t piping hot. I can see why it may be popular though.

I like they have such a wide variety of broth types, ranging from Tonkotsu to Curry to Black Garlic to Won Ton. Which you can get in either ramen or udon. And they have even more dishes like rice plates and tempura and even more. But maybe I’m used to restaurants that focus their attention and expertise on fewer dishes.

If you’ve taken a look through our page (pretentious to say, we know) then you know we eat A LOT of ramen. We wanted to try out what Hawaii has to offer so we stopped by Ramen Bones to see what they got. Parking is available so getting to the restaurant isn’t difficult at all, the inside of the restaurant is also clean and service is good. The menu is solid with multiple ramen offerings and appetizers though I will say the price for the food here is a bit higher than I’ve seen at places on the mainland.

For food we ordered tonkotsu and spicy shoyu ramens. From the first sip the broth was delicious, very flavorful and not thick with fat like some other places. The noodles were chewy and just the right texture. The chasu was good, not the best, but good. The biggest miss was the egg. The egg here is just a regular hard boiled egg, not ajitama which threw us off a bit. Beyond that the rest of the toppings were good. Overall, the food was pretty good for what we initially went in expecting. If you like ramen and you’re in the area this may be the spot for you.

My new favorite ramen place.

I was too busy devouring the food to snap a picture. It was SO GOOD!! the broth was great, the noodles were perfect, and the pork belly was PERFECTLY tender, but not falling apart.

Best calamari I’ve ever had. Seriously. And the spicy beef udon? Amazing. So good. I didn’t know I could even fit that much food in my stomach.

The service was also lovely. They went out of their way, unprompted, to hold the door open for an elderly woman with a walker on their way out.

Noodles were store bought dry ramen noodles i.e. tastless. Broth had no flavor and too salty. Only edible dish was chicken katsu.

This place is a must try!!!

The noodles are soooo good, the texture & taste when it hits your tongue, you can tell they are high quality.

The Spicy Ramen broth was my favorite, I can’t wait to come back.
