Louisiana native decided to finally try this place after being hesitant from 11 years. Went for their 3 pounds for the price of two crawfish that i saw them advertising on Facebook. Ordered their appetizer basket. They had too many corn nuggets in it and not near enough jalapeño hush puppies. The hush puppies were the best the corn nuggets were bland. My friend said the fried mushrooms were good. The ranch was fire. The crawfish was decent sized, some big ones but mostly smaller sized ones. They weren’t the freshest but they were definitely a pleasure to eat once i did make my sauce. While boiling them they need more salt and citrus. I had to make my own crawfish sauce at the table but the waitress was nice enough to bring the stuff to me. Servers name was Tiffany she was great. All the food was hot and when we got it and we got our stuff quickly. It was a Thursday night so it wasn’t packed but they still had a good crowd in there. Maybe change the TVs from baseball. Overall a good experience though i would go back.

We visited on a Thursday for dinner. While the flavors were fantastic all of the meets were rubbery and overcooked. We had the shrimp, crawfish and crab legs. I did deduct only 1 star because there was one lady running her butt off and she was quite impressive. There really should have been more than one waitress staffed. There was a football game playing so it did help to distract how ling everything was taking. There was a kids play area with sand in the back which looked like it would be great for families with toddlers.

Definitely an experience eating here. The hole in the wall atmosphere is taken to the extreme. The food was good. I’m not an alcohol drinker so we sorta were out of place on a Saturday night. It seemed like everyone was drinking some kind of beer or margarita. If you want a place to quietly visit, this really isn’t the place cuz the live music was fairly loud all evening. He wasn’t hard to listen to, tho. My children loved the little play area with sand while waiting for our food. Some of the fried food was a little too greasy, altho it was good.

Waitress was amazing. Atmosphere was fun. Food had no flavor. Don’t go there hungry because you will still leave hungry. We ordered the shrimp boil. Smallest portions I’ve ever seen. 8 shrimp 1 potato and 1 corn. We spent over 200 dollars for my son’s birthday. And we had to stop and eat after we left.

Crawmama’s was the perfect end to our day in Guntersville. The atmosphere, hospitality, Food was hot, and the entrees were timed perfectly to arrive after we finished our appetizer. Hadley looked after us, making sure we had what we wanted without hovering. It was a great experience.

We all loved it! The food was fantastic and all the servers were great. Crawmama took the time to come to the table and introduce herself and talk for a few minutes which was a highlight for us, if I lived here I’d be a regular. Hope to be back soon.

Oh my. This is an amazing place. The atmosphere is off the charts. The building is unlike anything else. The staff treats you like you are best friends. The food is really good.
The crab claws were very delicious and cooked perfectly.
The oyster Rockefeller was more than filling.
The Boil was loaded with food and the shrimp were cooked just right.
To finish it off with Rum Cake was out of this world.
This place is a must eat if you are in the area.

Ok for atmosphere, definitely a win! I loved the hole in the wall vibe that they totally ran with. I was super excited to go here because we heard the seafood was AMAZING and typically at places like this it is. I’m also going to say the service was incredible! The ladies we interacted with were so sweet and went over and beyond for us.

Now to the food… I got the coconut shrimp, Cajun corn, and hush puppies. Being a southerner and having lived in Georgia and Florida I am very familiar with these items. The coconut shrimp barely tasted like coconut, the dip seemed to have more coconut than the shrimp itself, the texture of the actual shrimp was weird. The batter was nice and crispy though. The hush puppies were ok, the center tasted like it had been frozen for too long and then cooked, but the outer was nice and crispy. I’m not sure what was Cajun about the corn. I’ve had Cajun corn many places and this one had no spices, no flavor, literally just tasted like boiled corn. That was a pretty big disappointment because when you hear Cajun you want those powerful flavors. The rest of the fam was disappointed as well. I will say the okra was good, and the snow crab legs were decent.

Cocktails next – worst margarita I’ve ever had in my life. The amount of tequila was perfect but whatever mixers they are using was Blegh. I watched them make an old fashioned and that was rough. I don’t think whoever was working the bar actually knew how to make cocktails. And not that this place is known for its cocktails but I feel like margaritas and an old fashioned is pretty basic. Just a quick Google search will lead to some simple but tasteful recipes.

I ended up switching to a Coke just because I didn’t want to try any more beverages. If you go here maybe stick with a beer or soda.

Do I regret going? Absolutely not! The live music and the atmosphere was the most Alabaman thing we’ve done all week. I wish the food and drinks had lived up to the hype.
