I brought my niece for dinner, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was absolutely incredible with her, so kind and attentive. My niece told Gemma it was her favorite restaurant, which says it all.

The food was outstanding. Everything salmon was a wow, and it was great to see so many gluten-free options available. We ended the meal with cappuccinos, including a toddler-friendly one for my niece, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Amazing food, welcoming atmosphere, and staff that truly goes above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you Gemma!

I went to The Pelican Room on Saturday night with high expectations after reading the glowing reviews in Westchester Magazine. Overall, it’s a place I like—and with a few tweaks, one I’d happily return to.

The atmosphere is a real strength: warm, flattering lighting and a lively crowd that still allows for easy conversation at the table. (one side note–sitting in a booth is not super comfortable). Appetizers were excellent, especially the endive salad and the dates. Entrees, however, were more inconsistent. The salmon, highly praised by others, arrived less than hot, as if it had been sitting under a warmer, and the tuna belly special, while clearly fresh fish, seemed composed some time before serving. Both were tasty, but not as good as they could have been if prepared and plated to order.

Service was young but eager to please. A bit more familiarity with the wine list—at least recognizing the names being ordered—would improve the experience. We didn’t make it to the speakeasy this visit, but plan to check it out soon. With better timing in the kitchen and some polish on service, The Pelican Room could easily live up to the hype.

Just wow. 11/10. As a person who was a local as of 4 days ago, boy am I sad to leave this place. (I know, I know, the picture in this review isn’t great quality- I didn’t want to be that person putting on her flash) but holy smokes. The smoked beet tartar is out of control- but you need to use the lemon! Or maybe not.. but the lemon made it even over the top. Third time here, in love with everything I’ve eaten (maybe minus the side of Mac and cheese, needs breadcrumbs!).

Service is phenomenal. Everyone here is trained so well and that I love most is the sweetness, the kindness, I overheard the person training staff. Really wonderful environment and the music is impressive.

The drinks are superb, every bar tender I’ve encountered is so knowledgeable and talented. Immensely grateful to see such a bipoc staff. Will be coming back for a date night so soon.

We came for brunch the 2nd weekend they started offering it but the restaurant opened this summer. It feels like they’re still figuring out staffing and other logistics but the atmosphere, cafe and food are great.

My friend ordered the strawberry mocha latte and I had the matcha. After trying my friend’s latte I asked for some strawberry syrup on the side to add to my match and it was a 10/10. However, they did charged me $1 for the small dish of syrup.

For food, we ordered the pelican platter, the roasted cauliflower salad, and the side of black pepper bacon. The highlight of the pelican platter were old bay tater tots and the pancake. The pancake was thick and fluffy, and it came with this delicious strawberry sauce. The roasted cauliflower salad was also great, but it had a lot of parsley and the cauliflower wasn’t very roasted. The black pepper bacon was extremely peppery, we had to scrape some off to finish the last slice.

Love this place! I’ve been a couple times this week.

They open on weekends for brunch at 10:30 AM. Their cafe is open during the day where you can order coffee drinks and pastries. And, they’re open for dinner every day.

I love their food and their drinks!

I love their hot chocolate special, their drinks, and their specials! You have to try their pancakes! Best I’ve had.

They have window seating, bar seating, and plenty of spacious booths.

If you haven’t tried this spot, you should! I can’t wait to stop back in again soon.

We had a wonderful experience at The Pelican Room, Pelham’s newest gem. The moment you walk in, the upscale brasserie style decor sets the tone – elegant, modern, and inviting.

The food was excellent. You can tell there’s real talent in the kitchen. The drinks were great.

We’re excited to see what’s next from The Pelican Room. It’s a much needed spot for Pelham and already feels like a promising new staple in the neighborhood.

We dined on Saturday night 11-15 and we were super excited to dine here. The restaurant is beautiful in every detail down to the restrooms. We ordered a few drinks Chicken Liver Pate, Biggie Back Dates, Roe & Revelry, Smoked Beet Tartar, Pelican Brief Burger, Poivre Royal, Earthstone Chicken and Sweet Heat. The drinks were quite good. The food is a little bit of a different story; The Pate was excellent and the dates were good. The beets and avocado need more texture as the beets are soft and avocado was not chunky but more of a puree additionally needed more lemon or acid and seasoning. The Roe and Revelry;the potatoes weren’t quite hot. The burger was ordered Medium Rare and arrived medium well and the bun didn’t seem fresh. The steak while cooked properly both meat and French fries weren’t hot, more luke warm. The chicken wasn’t a crispy skin more rubbery skin and the Pizza the crust was gummy. The service that was also not well executed was our server it was strange almost robotic like. We ordered coffee and they said they were out of it. While we truly were excited about experiencing the restaurant it fell quite short. Sadly we were disappointed and will not return.

One stop in Westchester you need to check out — located in Pelham, and honestly… this spot is stunning!!
I tried one of my new favorite cocktails, “I’m Mister Sun”, and wow… flavor on another level. For food, we went with the French Dip au Jus and the Alfredo Fettuccine with truffle — both absolutely delicious.
The décor is chic yet classic, with beautiful lighting and stylish furniture that truly elevate the space. The vibes are cozy, sophisticated, and perfect for hanging out with friends, a date night, or enjoying a late-night crafted cocktail. ✨
Definitely a new Westchester gem to add to your list!
