I was driving up to visit my family for Christmas Eve. A typical Latin Christmas Eve meal includes roasted pork. I looked for and reviewed several places in the Ocala area and decided upon this restaurant.

(Last year I ordered from another location that never answered the phone and directs you to order via an online link that does not work).

I must tell you that Jorge who took my order was very friendly and helpful, checking with the owner Raymon, to ensure that the order was placed properly and that my family would have a good meal and enough quantity, on this special day.

When I arrived to pick up the food on the 24th, the owner himself assisted, locating the roast pork that was already prepared and ready, and even helping me by bringing it to the car. I had also ordered some roast chicken.

They say the proof is in the pudding. Well, I can honestly say that my family thoroughly enjoyed the roast pork with the special recipe from mama at this restaurant. And the chicken was delicious as well. We had food for two days and everyone, including the children partook.

Great job Raymon! And Jorge, thank you for your hospitality

I will definitely be ordering from you in the future and I do recommend others to taste your food.

Went to try the food since I was in town. I ordered goat with purple potato salad and guineitos. Food was good, the goat was cooked really well. Ordered some guava and cheese pastries and they were horrible. It had some syrup on them that made them soggy and tasted bad.

The morisoñando was good. The pastelito was not good as I ordered a cheese one and come to find out it was stuffed with American yellow cheese. Not mozzarella or the queso blanco dominican pastelitos are usually made with. The music was nice and they have the space to turn it into something where locals can come and dance so there is potential.

Do not go in there! My stomach still hurts. The alcapurrias have a weird taste, the mofongo was nasty, soda cans dirty, in the front the food was swimming in oil, the guy in the front was nasty. Ay no – please stay away from tjis place. It says on internet puerto rican food and the sign on door says dominican food. No cus service. Hate it it!

We ordered the rice and beans we got the red beans not very many on top of our rice. We ordered the stewed chicken to go with it and it was hard as a rock. The skin was like leather. Usually, I have it fall off the bone. I’m not sure if it was from yesterday or what but I’ve had a lot better. I really wish them success in their future. They were very very nice possible stomach ache coming on.

Our first time visiting, 4:00 pm on a Sunday. Not crowded. Good Customer service. The food was very tasty.
We decided for 2 small size food services. ( Pictures ) They have a Bakery area too with quesitos and Flan etc

The whole area inside looked clean.

Wow I can’t say enough good things about this place. The food is spectacular the service is amazing the friendly welcoming environment reminding me of back home in PR but the best thing was a person named Angel what a amazing personality as well as astonishing customer service going above and beyond for the customers one hell of a asset to this place. I’m not only going to talk about the customer service but the food I had some empanadas de carne (beef empanadas) and the taste was beautiful the texture to the meat was great as well as the nice crunchy outside. Also had some arroz blanco con pollo guisado and again the dish was on point once again and I also wanted to mention as a cook I absolutely love the communication between everyone especially Angel and the Cook great job keep it up absolutely love this place you will see allot more of me again thank you again for one of the greatest Latin food I have had in more then 5 years keep up the good job. Thank you Angel for going out of your way to help my family with setting up a table after noticing us trying to sit on a small table he pulled another table and set everything up and his hospitality is amazing thank you.

My first time trying this restaurant while visiting the area and I can tell you this place is very clean. The gentleman that took my order was very friendly. The food was flavorful but I am giving them 4 stars because I could tell my chicken had been sitting out for a while. However, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Ordered alcapuria,! Estaban Ciega! Hardly no meats, maybe less then half tea spoon and no taste! Back in 1950s it was no ground beef, just pork left over from making Pasteles and plenty of flavors! Now days, young people are giving instructions that came after 1950s and 1960s generations! And now they put ground beef, corned beef or vegetable! And no flavors!
