This was our first time eating at this new location, the inside has beautiful paintings and very colorful tables and booths.
I love the crispy chips, but the salsa needed a little salt and the queso was creamy and delicious. The waitress recommended the Torta Birria and I was wanting to try something different so I got it. The Torta Birria was a good change of pace from your regular taco or burrito, definitely will get it again.
I talked to Yarib (super cool guy) the host for a little bit, he was up from Guadalajara helping his uncle get this restaurant going. He told me how it started from the food trailer and grew into two restaurants.

Overall we had a great lunch and we’re looking forward to this being a regular place we visit.

The Good and the bad from someone who has eaten Mexican food in at least 10 states and other countries. We have Mexican food at least weekly. Serano’s replaced a very mediocre Mexican restaurant in Priceville.
The Good. The renovations are awesome with beautiful colors and tasteful wall decor. The booths are extremely comfortable and pretty to boot. In, short, we love the colors and the bathrooms are new, clean, and welll designed.
The bad: the salsa is way too sweet. The quesadilla had a very sweet bbq like sauce that was not good.
The enchilada plate had a green sauce not the red that was on the menu description. It was not good to me and I have had enchilada plates all over the US at probably 100’s of restaurants. It ranks in the bottom ⅓. The ground beef was fairly tasteless. The rice and beans were average.
Perhaps their other menu items, fajitas, molequajete, street tacos, carnival are all good, but we won’t be back.

We love Serrano’s. My favorite dish right now is the Arrocito Corazo but I also love the street taco’s and the salsa is thick and yummy. The jalapeño margarita’s are nice too and the owner is great. He is so attentive to the customers making sure we are happy and satisfied with everything we order. The restaurant is decorated so cute. We can tell the owner wanted to make Serrano’s a special place and our family is so happy he brought it to Priceville! Thank you!

So we used to go to the restaurant that used to be in this location – it was amazing- and this is definitely an upgrade. So I think they may have opened a week ago. We’ve been twice now. The interior – everything’s brand new brand, new tables, chairs, painting – I mean, they completely remodeled the inside. Looks nice and that’s where the ‘nice’ ends.
The food on the other hand was – amazing!!! They have every option you can think of – beef, chicken, steak, chorizo, carne Asada, tongue – if it’s an option, they have it. The Birria – OK so Google doesn’t know Spanish – it’s basically beef brisket slow cooked with spices, comes in every dish – the chimichanga burrito, the “Birria Changa” is amazing. I got a street burrito tonight. I mean I’ve had street tacos but the street burrito. Oh my gosh so much flavor. It wasn’t just the Carne Asada, but there was so many other parts to it – the peppers – the ranch beans – cilantro- it was amazing. And you have to try the chorizo queso dip. Oh my goodness. Oh. My.
I think I found a new favorite!!

I recently moved to Alabama-and happened upon this restaurant and I’m so thankful I did.

The decor is absolutely beautiful and bright!

The staff is attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about food recommendations.

The salsa and chips were amazing!

The food was delicious and you feel at home while eating here.

I highly recommend visiting if you’re looking for great food, great service, and a friendly restaurant.

*Additionally, If you have any special requests-they are extremely considerate -and they will happily accommodate your requests!

This is far and away the best Mexican restaurant in north Alabama. The menu has a lot of the normal Mexican fare that you can get anywhere but also has items that are wonderful for the American palate that you just can’t get anywhere else.

Most anything birria or barbacoa has great flavor and will be very filling. This is flavor you just can’t get anywhere.

Portions are healthy and I always have a little something for lunch the next day.

Margaritas you ask??? Many different flavors but I only ever get jalapeño. I have had them hot, mild and just right! Make sure you eat them know how you like them. You can get sugar or salt, but I always ask for tajin. It is a chili-lime, salt seasoning.

Over all, this place is my go-to. When I need that Mexican fix, this is all you need!

Serrano’s is one of the most authentic Mexican place I have ever tried, the food is exceptional! I am obsessed!!

If you are looking for real Mexican food with authentic flavor, this is definitely the place.
I also really loved the ambiance. The place is beautiful, warm, and very welcoming.
We will definitely keep coming back and recommending it to anyone who wants authentic Mexican food.

The food was excellent and consistently great. Management was very attentive and friendly, and the staff worked seamlessly together, keeping the restaurant running smoothly. Even though the restaurant only opened a few months ago, the owners clearly saw the need for quality Tex-Mex food in Priceville and have done an outstanding job. The décor is gorgeous, and I love the tribute to the owner’s grandparents through the restaurant’s name. Kudos to the entire team!

Family in from TN and this was our second option as first was closed. Party of 7, seated quickly and drink orders taken, has to yell order from end of table as waitress (blue dyed hair) stayed at end. Chips served and 3 small dishes of salsa for 7 people. Took almost 30 minutes for drinks to arrive. 3 entrees served quickly (one was mine), and mine was cold! Was told “hot plate” but that was far from true. 10 minutes later 2 more entrees arrive and 10 minutes after tha the final arrives. Everyone agreed food was bland for Mexican. Salsa was sweet and bland. Will make another attempt after restaurant gets it together from recent opening. Update: read previous review that manager responded to “ you have the right to take your business where ever you feel comfortable” says a lot. While I wish this business success, with management responses like this, it will be difficult survive.

A few weeks back, the 3 of us are seated to dine. Waiter takes our orders; I specifically ask her assitance, walking through my ordering the options. Promptly 2 meals arrive, excluding mine. Over halfway through the 2 meals, I was asked by the same staff member, that walked through my order, if I had ordered anything.. okay
Yesterday we attempt it again. Long strand of hair across the top of the cheese dip.
Hard pass. Thanks but no.
