Established in 1995 in Amherst by UMass grad Bob Lowry, Bueno Y Sano now operates at seven family-owned locations in Western MA and Burlington, VT. Our burritos, quesadillas, tacos, salads and other recipes are all handcrafted with fresh ingredients and hundreds of delicious combinations. We’re also a proud community sponsor. This was our second time visiting a Bueno Y Sano. This time was much better than our first the food was delicious and you can watch it being prepared. My only gripe was that I ordered a bowl and received a burrito, but at the end of the day, it was delicious.

Recommended to me by a friend, I luckily had some time while in the area to stop in for some lunch. Their menu is diverse with lots of savory options. I opted to split two burrito with a friend, so we got the Chicken Bacon Ranch burrito, and the Brisket burrito, both with medium sauce. Both options had intense and real flavor and were hefty portions of food. The horchata was delicious and fresh and a great pairing for the burritos.
The service was brisk, staff were friendly, environment was clean, and atmosphere full of charm and coziness—from the alleyway entrance to the dimly lit and well-decorated seating area.

Stopped in for a quick lunch, I ordered the brisket tacos. Absolutely delicious! Very nice texture and bright flavors indicate fresh ingredients. The tomatillo salsa was also very good, I mixed it with my rice and beans. The grilled jalapeño was tasty, pretty much what you would expect.

Bueno has been a STAPLE in town since it replaced the old Cha³ (iykyk), and it’s been a favorite ever since. It’s also now become one of my 11yo’s “PLEEEEASE can we go to Bueno?!” Every time we go to Town

First time visiting. Diverse menu posted on the wall. Ordered, paid and given slip for order. Food was freshly made for each order and served up promptly. Tables were available for seating or limited stools at counter. Place was clean and food smelled wonderful. Place was casual, not large but comfortable seating. Food was excellent and large portions. Fountain soda and non-alcoholic drink selection in case. Choice of hot, mild sauces, self serve. Extra napkins available. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Really great place to eat, will be going back!

Service was uninviting and rude, employee made their bad day our problem by rolling their eyes when we asked how they were. Didn’t expect the food to be the best ever, but the chicken was crunchy and unseasoned. If you’re used to good Mexican may as well find somewhere else.

Amazing food with large portions, and great service. My favourites are the Thai Burrito and the Steak and Mushroom Quesadillas, and we often get a tub of salsa to take home.

I’ve been coming here for a decade and the burritos just seem to keep getting smaller and smaller. The food is amazing but today was the final straw when the burrito is smaller than my hand. Don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Stopped in for a burrito while fighting a hangover, it definitely did the trick. Huge burritos with fresh ingredients that are handmade right in front of you. I recommend stopping in for a bite!
