A homemade blueberry muffin got my attention. It was so worth it!!!!
Got my usual eggs over medium and little over done for my taste. Waitress noticed my first bite offered to remake it was ok. I ate them still. Was my first time ordering them here. Was very yummy

Long time fan of the locations on State and the now closed location in the Harley-Davidson store. The latter was my favorite spot to bring guests from out of town. I was sad when it closed. Now, that I’ve finally visited this new location, I have nothing but raves. Sat in the Atrium on one of the coldest winter days of the year surrounded by lush plants. It was a tropical escape! Plenty of charm and whimsy to enjoy in the decor. There were unique table pedestals with modern, yet comfortable chairs. Food and service were outstanding. I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss Omelette that was puffy perfection, at least two inches high, plump full of mushroom slices and so much cheese that I had to twirl it around my fork as if it was a pasta dish! Yum, yum, yum. Then, American potatoes; tender, yet, crisp bites of breakfast bliss completed my meal. My hubby had the House Skillet that featured chicken breast cubes with veggies on shredded hash brown potatoes. His over easy eggs were perfectly cooked with warm yolk that flowed like a sauce over his dish. He ordered the pancake, rather than toast, and it was plate-size! Too much food to eat in one sitting, we took home doggie bags. Our servers were super attentive, the food arrived quickly, the coffee was refilled, and I had two thumbs up when asked, “How’s your food? How’s everything?” I only regret not coming sooner. I will return, often, and bring all my friends and family! Highly recommend!

If you haven’t been to Johnny Pamcakes, you’re missing out. I’ll literally drive all the way from Lake in the Hills just to meet my Rockford friends here for breakfast… it’s that good.
The steak and eggs are outstanding. Cooked perfectly, generous portions, and exactly what you want when you’re craving a solid breakfast.
The location has a really cool vibe, and sitting in the atrium is my favorite spot. Great natural light, relaxed atmosphere, and just an all-around comfortable place to hang out and catch up with friends.
Well worth the drive every time.

I have been coming here for breakfast for the last 3 years and have had good service. Went the other day, I got a waitress i’ve never had before. Worst service ever! I asked her to give me a minute because we were not ready to order and scoffed at us and said fine, then walked away. Didn’t ask if we wanted drinks or anything. Then when we received our food, she had an attitude giving us our plates. Didn’t ask if we wanted any hot sauce or condiments. The 2 Hispanic servers came and refilled our drinks and our original waitress never came back till she gave us our bill. I definitely don’t tip her but we gave the tip to the 2 servers.

This place is fantastic. The food was delicious, service was friendly and quick, we barely had a wait for our food to come out, and to top it all off, I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup.
My only complaints really, are all very minor. The building it’s self was a little difficult to find, but that’s more because I’m not from the area than anything else.
All of our food was delicious and prepared flawlessly. The pancakes we done perfectly, not too chewy, and very tasty (though personally I would have liked a little more vanilla, but I’m a weirdo )
My omelette was spot on, the eggs were light and fluffy, the mixed in ingredients weren’t overpowering, and it was a nice mix of everything.
The building it’s self was also adorable, I love the mix of bricks and old wood. However it looks new, fresh, and clean at the same time.
Overall I am very pleased that I stopped in, and I will definitely be coming back to try their breakfast pizza in the near future.

I took my dad to Johnny Pamcakes in Belvidere for an early father’s day breakfast. The restaurant was definitely busy but we were able to be seated right away at the breakfast bar. The seats were comfortable and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. There was an awesome woodfire pizza oven behind the counter pumping out some breakfast pizzas. As soon as we sat down we were given waters and offered coffee. The waitress was over right away and the food came out quickly. I had a vegetable omelet, a Swedish pancake, and some fruit. My dad had a ham and cheese omelet. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were large. I left with 3 to go containers! Prices were super reasonable. They also have a really cool atrium chock full of beautiful plants. Next time I go, I definitely want to sit in the atrium and have breakfast with the plants!

I stopped by today to get some breakfast and it honestly wasn’t that good. The eggs and hash browns had no flavor/seasoning. The atmosphere is nice and the service was okay. I probably won’t be coming back though.

We ❤️ this restaurant inside Kegel’s and are sad to see it go in 2024. Stop in for great food and service while it’s still there. Wishing you wonderful luck at your flagship restaurant and hope you open another location somewhere soon.

Referred here by Collier RV for a tasty breakfast nearby. Wouldn’t have even realized this was a restaurant, we thought it was just a Harley dealer. Busy and popular spot- good service, hearty portions, reasonable prices. Would definitely return when in the area if craving a yummy diner breakfast!
