I was In town to visit family, and looking for a brunch place. This did not disappoint. A variety of dishes. The beef rice bowl was terrific. My wife had the breakfast burrito, which was awesome too. I would definitely come back here if I’m in the area.
They also have a bar with some really interesting drinks and options. Wish they had a location in Florida.

This place is consistently above average. I’ve been here a couple of times and tried multiple things, everything is delicious! Really good drinks and eggs are always cooked perfectly. They have something for everyone- Classic breakfast, fun and new recipes and really any breakfast you could be craving. Service is always very good too. Not exactly cheap but it’s a good value still for the food and service. Definitely recommend!

Cinna-Swirl French Toast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hash Quiche ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Classic Breakfast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We decided to try the Danvers Friendly Toast on a Saturday because this location was less busy than the other Friendly Toast locations we like to eat at (Burlington or Cambridge).

The food at this location is just as tasty as the other locations. The Cinna-Swirl French Toast was so delicious! we also highly recommend the Hash Quiche!

The two main differences in the Danvers location is: 1) the decor is less unique and 2) the staff are less attentive. I think our server stopped by once on their own without us calling her over. Maybe I’m used to the diner experience where they keep your coffee topped off and warm.

We’ll try this location again in hopes that the service is better. The food can seem overpriced but the food portions seem decent for the cost.

First time here, a little pricey. The decor gives you a diner feel. I had an avocado toast with pickled tomatoes and pickled onions. My husband had the traditional eggs Benedict with an added side of bacon. Our grandson had the Cookie Monster vegan pancakes. All drinks were extra cost. Food was very good.

The food is the reason you come here!!! the variety of dishes is amazing. Breakfast and brunch. We had an appetizer called “some like it hot” (names are trendy and often have no real description of the food). These are giant tater tots infused with cheese, perfectly crisp, on a bed of a cheese sauce and topped with pickled onion and parsely. Amazing. I would come here again just for these.
My wife had a single large pancake, bacon, pan potatoes, and toast. she loved it. I had a curry bowl called “Curry Your Enthusiasm.” outstanding rice bowl with pickled onions and various vegetables.
Our server, Fiona, was knowledgeable and perfectly timed service. she was friendly and passionate about her job and where she worked.
Vegan friendly. and they separate pans for allergy concerns and vegan concerns. Decor is a retro-trendy late 50s style. Colorful, kid friendly, and lots to look at. very little “cookie cutter” decor. Not one thing was duplicated. Even the lamps are all different. it feels a bit cramped, plates are all plastic, “kid” friendly. Real silverware and coffee cups. loud space, not conducive to private conversations. chairs are a bit uncomfortable but fit the trendy plastic coated 50s diner decor.
I highly recommend it if you have never tried it. It’s quite pricey. About $40 per person without alcohol. But, I will return to try some more unique dishes.

No wait on a Thursday afternoon. Staff is friendly and efficient. Get yourself the mimosa flight! Each one is delicious and different enough that you’ll enjoy each of them as separate drinks. I got the monster breakfast and it was amazing. Sweet French toast, thick bacon, and crispy homefries. There are a lot of places for breakfast/lunch in the area but I’m glad I went with this one.

I am extremely disappointed with our recent visit to Friendly Toast. We came as a family and ordered pancakes, hash quiche, and hash veggie bro-tatoes. The pancakes were overcooked and burnt, the quiche was burnt and dry, and the veggie bro-tatoes were clearly left too long in the deep fryer.

When we brought this up to our server, Erica, she first admitted that the food had been in the fryer too long. But when we explained that the food was burnt and we had to leave it unfinished, her response was dismissive and insulting. She said, “You already ate half, now you’re telling me? We can’t give you free food.”

This was completely unacceptable. At no point did we ask for free food — we raised a genuine complaint about burnt meals. Instead of professionalism, we were treated as if we were trying to get something for free. That was insulting and disrespectful.

We have been regular customers, but after this experience, it feels like both the food quality and customer service have dropped severely. If this is how customer concerns are handled, we see no reason to return.

Pictures are attached for reference.

Ordered delivery. But I have gone in before and the place is cutely decorated. For this one order I tried an omelette. Spinach and bacon and peppers. Pretty great. I selected home fries. Not sure why I got waffle fries for breakfast. But they were okay after I reheated them. I also got the vegan pancake. It tasted like it wasn’t mixed all the way before cooking. Wasn’t good. Not worth the calories. I also selected dairy free on everything and they still gave me butter. They don’t have dairy free butter. So beware.

This was a cool diner-style restaurant. They have options for vegans. The tofu scramble with Beyond and sweet potato hash was great! I should not have tasted it because I almost forgot to take a picture! Lol.
The other person’s waffle was huge! The egg & cheese looked perfect with two big circle sausage patties.
The oldies but goodies had me rocking! And last but not least, Fiona gave us Awesome service! Give her a raise!

Chill vibe, we came here to get some brunch over Christmas break and it was a great time. We started off with a holiday treat, an iced peppermint mocha iced coffee and some bacon cheddar tots and the sauce really made the dish so good. Kids enjoyed fluffy chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and bacon and home fries I had ordered the chorizo eggs benny with home fries. We all left with full tummies
