We had an amazing meal at this Xi’an restaurant! The Roujiamo was incredibly flavorful—the braised meat was perfectly seasoned, not too salty or greasy, but rich and aromatic. The Youpo Noodles were generously portioned, with delicious toppings like potatoes, tofu, and green beans, and the chili oil had an authentic kick.
My boyfriend is from Zhengzhou and has been eating Xi’an cuisine since childhood—he absolutely loved it and couldn’t understand why the ratings are so low. The restaurant was bustling with both dine-in customers and takeout orders, yet only two hardworking staff members were managing everything. They were incredibly diligent and dedicated, and we truly appreciate their efforts.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Xi’an flavors!

Please see my photos of this dish for both in-store and togo. They are both very delicious; the main difference is about the noodles, which are dryer and more sticky for the togo version. The plate is huge; we still got lots of chicken left after two people are full.
The dry fried cauliflower tastes good for me. But my friend felt it was fried and too oily.

Everything we ordered was amazing. I’ve had their lamb burger in the past and loved it but this time I was accompanying my vegetarian friend and chose to try veggie dishes instead and they were so good! The server was very accommodating of my friend’s dietary preference and even made one of the dishes meatless by removing pork.
Definitely going back and with a larger crew so we can try out more dishes.

This restaurant serves Shaanxi style street food. A good number of lamb based dishes that are pretty authentic. They have a special “sandwich” that can be found on the street of the region, similarly the noodle dish and the bread dough in lamb soup. This only thing keeping them from a 5 star is the portion of meat vs the portion of noodles or dough. A couple of tiny bits of meat in the big bowl of carbs… wished it’s not that authentic. The wide noodle in dry sauce is also very good.

Food 5 stars. Service 1 star. Overall 5 stars. Authentic traditional Xi’an food. Very well-done. The best Xi’an food in the Bay Area in the opinion. I highly recommend the lamb cumin burger and hot oil noodle.
The service quality was mediocre in general. The service capacity seemed to be a big problem though. There is always a long wait outside, yet I overheard the owner told people to take their time, as the restaurant literally could not make food fast enough. At some point, they even locked the door to stop people from coming in (,which btw was obviously violating the fire safety regulations). The owner should think about how to nail the business and service, not just the food. At this point, they are really just struggling with their operations.
In a nutshell: If you are looking for Americanized Chinese food or good service, this is not the place. If you are looking for good-quality legit Xi’an food, this is the place.

Very authentic China North-western style restaurant. Most famous fishes are Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup (羊肉泡饃)， and Hometown Style Pork Rouburge (肉夾饃). The Cold noodle with sesame is also a good choice during hot summer days.
