After years of driving by when visiting Seattle, I finally stopped. Should have kept driving but at least now I know. Chicken lacked seasoning and fries tasted like frozen crinkles from Safeway. KFC and Popeyes are way better.

Been wanting to try this place for a while now! I was finally able to experience this the other day and I will say it was great! Ordered a 4 piece to experience the different cuts and every piece was crunchy, juicy, and seaping with flavor. You can really tell that they brine the chicken for quite some time and it shows! My daughter is super picky when it comes to fried chicken and even she enjoyed it as well. Sides were ok. Not the best but ok.The mac and cheese though very cheesy lacked much flavor and was reminiscent of school lunch mac and cheese. I did enjoy the coleslaw which was really creamy and I believe had some kind of horseradish in it as well.
The desserts were a little disappointing. I ordered both the peach cobbler and the sweet potato pie which was on a promotion for a buck. The crust on the pie was good but the flavor was pretty standard nothing really stood out. On the peach cobbler it was mushy and had way too much cinnamon. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience but will stay away from the dessert on my next visit.

Ezell’s spicy thighs are the absolute best chicken in town and have been since they first opened. The chicken’s consistently crispy and delicious. The only downside for us is that virtually every time, we have to order ahead of time because they only have one or two spicy pieces available and need 20 minutes to fill our order. For us, the original is good but rather bland, so it’s definitely worth waiting for the spicy. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is clean .

Great customer service. Clean and well maintained restaurant.
Nice comfort food. The food was a bit bland and highly dependent on added spices. The basic fried chicken needed something more. A great fried chicken does not need the spicy spices to make it palatable. The biscuits were the best part of my food order.

Good flavorful fried chicken and chicken tenders. I love their fresh baked rolls and the only place where I can get fried okra whenever I feel like eating it and when I’m missing the food from the Carolinas. Combining it with iced sweet tea makes it perfect. The place is clean and friendly staff.

After my significant other, Ezell’s Famous Chicken has become my most-called telephone number for the past two months. I might have a slight addiction at this point and I end up over here a couple of times a week because both their fried chicken and chicken tenders are so delicious! They have a lot of sides to offer as well and I would highly recommend the mashed potatoes and gravy, which I believe compliment the chicken so well. The fries and macaroni and cheese are decent, but I have had better elsewhere. Service has always been friendly and fast with me, I just have no complaints. I have been telling everyone I care about to try this place.

I’m what you call a “big dawg” it’s not every day I leave a restaurant feeling stuffed after only spending $10 (all day lunch special) I ordered my chicken spicy they said it would be a 8 minute wait. So I ordered regular. After they brought me my food the guy said he made a mistake they did have spicy so he gave me an extra piece on the house. You dont get service like that anymore. I will be returning

I’m a huge fan of Ezell’s. Here is how I always have success with them….go early, order more then you think you will eat, and always ask for honey and butter for the biscuits.
I love fried chicken, it’s a guilty pleasure for me. Plus I enjoy thighs, wings, drummies and dark meat instead of white meat. It’s a mess, there is no polite way to eat there chicken. So enjoy!

We love this place. When we go to Ezell’s, we usually order takeout on Friday afternoon between 3 and 5. The crew working this shift is killing it! Their chicken is the best I’ve had in Oregon; crispy, juicy, and not too greasy. Their spicy seasoning is what’s up.
Highly recommend the spicy chicken combo (we get the 8-piece so we have leftovers) and the spicy fried okra. Their regular sides are just okay, but we come here for the fried chicken and fried okra, which are always excellent. Their rolls are awesome, too. This place is comfort food all the way. We will keep coming back as long as we live in the area.
Did I mention fried okra?
