after living in the neighborhood for more than a year, we finally decided to try Ambiyan and are SO thrilled we did!! we ordered the vegetable samosas (2x per order), butter chicken, lamb roganjosh, and garlic naan – all of which was superb! before we even finished dinner we decided this will be our go-to Indian restaurant and truly can’t wait to come back (and bring our families). thank you so much for such incredible service preksha + team and for the delicious food!

I ordered combo which comes with 1 samosa, paneer tikka masala and 1 nan and 1 rice.

Samosa – it smells weird and chutney was also no so good.
Paneer Tikka Masala – paneer, green papers, red papers everything was under-cooked. Its seem chef wasn’t in mood to cook.
Naan – 1 Naan prices 4.50$. Price didn’t justify its quality.

I ordered online from Pizza Hut and was pleasantly surprised by the fast delivery. The pizza arrived hot and the crust was perfectly crispy. Their BBQ Chicken pizza is one of my favorites, with a great balance of smoky sauce and tender chicken pieces. I’ll definitely order again soon.

I ordered chicken biriyani from this restaurant and it was absolutely delicious! Honestly, this is the best chicken biriyani I’ve ever had in Toronto downtown area. The flavour was perfect, the portion was generous, and the packaging was neat and secure. You can really taste the chef’s skill. I would definitely give the chef a solid 9/10 — hats off to the chef! Highly recommended!

Visited on a Saturday evening. They had a pre-fixed 3 course menu for V-Day!
Food quality was good, I left home feeling stuffed. But it took forever for someone to attend us, get the menu and place our order. The server forgot to get our drinks order even after handing us the drinks menu for quite sometime (which was only handed upon asking). We were seated in a corner, it was a busy time but I saw tables beside us being served everything in a timely fashion. People who sat down after us, ate and left before us. We had to remind the server/hostess a few times to get our bill. But by then the rush had slowed down.
I felt service had a bit of a hiccup despite being charged 18% gratuity. I would like to visit again hoping service is better this time.

This was my first time to this location. The menu of Winterlicious is excellent. Quiet n comfortable ambient. Great service n their waitress was very attentive n pleasant. We had a butter chicken n lamb for the main, both were delicious. It comes with naan or rice n and a free Raita. Everything was delicious n good portion. I must mention about the ice-cream, it was amazing n not too sweet. I will definitely go back for another time. Street parking is not available, indoor city parking available on Heath street, opposite to the church.

It saddens to rate so low, but the quality of food was just poor, we ordered Chicken tikka as starters, and even after request for it to be made juicy and well done we were served rubbery and dry stale chicken. The portion size is also small. The dal lacked flavour and I am not sure they took the order correct as we were served rice which no one ordered and was added in our bill. The chicken tikka masala curry left a bad taste in mouth the only saviour was the very soft and delicious garlic naan. The veg tikki trio just lacks the yum factor, The ambience is very nice and relaxing but the food didn’t leave us feeling good about our visit this time.

Ordered today using Uber eats. Butter chicken tasted like fish and they messed up my order. My second dish was supposed to be chicken tikka masala, but they sent me something else. Also, the sauce tasted weird like there’s sugar in it. The naan bread is also weird. It looks and taste like a pizza base not like naan bread. I’m not ordering from them again or recommending them to anybody.

After trying for 2 years, I finally found an Indian restaurant in Toronto that truly reminds me of the taste of India. At first, I hesitated, thinking I might be disappointed again. But seeing the high Google rating gave me the courage to try, and I’m so glad I did. This place amazed me! It’s the best Indian restaurant I’ve found in Toronto. The place looks great, the service is friendly, and the food tastes just right. They can add more spice if you like. Unlike some places, the dishes aren’t too sweet or changed to suit the taste of westerners. The area around the restaurant is lively, perfect for a short walk after dinner. In short, I really enjoyed dining here!

Yummy and surprisingly economical!! They have all the Indian staples done well and there’s a great lunch deal to get entree, rice for $16-18. Add $5 for 2 large naan and a samosa. You can’t beat that in this neighborhood, I will be back!
