Very good Italian food with a cozy, neighborhood feel. The pasta dishes were flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Nice to see rhey hire high school kids. Definitely a solid spot in Kearny for a nice meal!

I am a big fan of this place; it’s a fantastic spot. However, I must mention that after a difficult day at work, I visited. The food, staff, and atmosphere are all excellent. I love animals and have a pet of my own. Today 11/22/25, a friend of the owner walked in with a puppy, claiming it was a service dog. From my understanding, service dogs are well-trained, yet this dog nearly jumped on a guest. They should be more careful. The owner’s friend should be respectful to others, the staff, and the clientele.

This review is strictly to speak about card transactions. This pizzeria charges a surcharge for using card. However, these fees only apply to credit cards by law. It is illegal to add a surcharge to debit cards. I have found that this place will charge debit cards as credit which doesn’t require a PIN and a surcharge will be applied. This is a loophole. If anyone uses a debit card please be sure to input your PIN number and do not allow them to run your debit card as credit, to avoid a surcharge. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Otherwise pizza is good.

But what really made me love this place is the fact that I went one day with my friends to eat a tira (tiramisu) but I wasn’t hungry and I just got a water. I didn’t expect to receive a full jar of water. It was such a good tasting water that it made me forget that I wasn’t eating anything. I love ninos I always get it when I’m working at SP.

I live in Washington state and was on the east coast for work. I had the meatballs with a side of pasta and a carrot cake for dessert.
Delicious is too small a word. It made me nostalgic for a past I didn’t have. It has been a week now and everything I have eaten since has been disappointment. The sauce was perfect. The meatballs were fluffy but sturdy. I have made pasta from scratch before and it was nothing compared to Mr. Nino’s. I had not eaten until I physically couldn’t in years until last week.
I am worried that I will cook pasta for the rest of my days desperately trying to replicate that fettucine. And now there is an entire country in between us and my days are all the dimmer for it.
