We started to become regulars here about 3 weeks ago. They have amazing food, and great beer prices. The fried donut was amazing. But we’ve had nothing bad this far! Kelly even remembered our names after the first time and it impressed us so much

The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, My husband enjoyed his chicken meal but he said the mashed potatoes were over salted and my aunt enjoyed her club sandwich, and she said her turkey and ham were not just cold cuts they were real! My chicken strips came from a frozen bag, which I could only eat less than half of a strip, so I took them home and tossed them so I would not offend them. My green beans were delicious! We will most definitely return, and I will just try something new. This was our first visit, so it will be a do-over.

Service and food was a little slow. Excellent dive bar feel. Very affordable prices. Chicken and fries were great. Daily specials are very competitive.

Cute little bar and grill on the edge of Quincy. They were a little short-handed with two ladies, serving all the meals and taking orders. My daughter’s burger came without her fries, and they got them to her asap. I ordered the tenderloin shoe. It was tasty, but the tenderloin was a little overcooked. Was a nice place to try some new meals. They have a neat old time bar and have gambling machines in the back.

8-4-25 In town for family emergency. Of course Mr Bills was a must do. This time it was the tenderloin we’ve heard so much about and they talk about on the site “you know you grew up in Quincy Illinois if….” on Facebook. It was fantastic and just as great as the 18-wheeler used to be. Waitress was super super nice. She had this cool makeup around the eyebrows and the eyes that I thought was tattoos but she said it was just the way she does her makeup. She was so nice. It was an enjoyable lunch. Now I got to go back and see if the fried chickens as good as it was 30 years ago when it was Zim’s.
5-31-24 In town for father-in-law’s funeral. Had to do the Friday carp. Fantastic food as always. I tried my husband’s gravy and it was fantastic.
9-9-22 Wonderful fried carp as always. Generous portions. We came in from Florida and it was our first stop.

Stopped here for lunch. Chicken Philly was solid, and my parents enjoyed the daily special, pork loin with gravy. You can grab a good bite to eat here

My wife and I were passing through Quincy and this restaurant caught my eye because (a) it was located on a corner in a neighborhood, similar to many restaurants we frequented when first married and (b) the reviews mentioned best fried chicken in the area. We each had two draft beers, delivered in ice cold glass mugs. I really enjoyed the ice cold mug–I can’t remember the last time I had a beer at a bar in a frosty mug. My wife had the ham and queso pony shoe and I had the fried chicken dinner. Both were excellent and prior reviews proved out about the chicken–some of the best I have ever had. And then another pleasant surprise when the check was delivered–2 meals, an extra side and 4 beers for about $30. We noticed everyone there was having a great time and why wouldn’t they–great food and drinks at reasonable prices in a restaurant located in the corner of a neighborhood. Highly recommend!

If you are in Quincy and looking for a great bar and grill with family atmosphere, then Mr. Bill’s Bar &Grill is the place to go. 7 of us were seated behind the bar and the awesome service was on! Ice cold Blue Moon from the draft was perfect! I dined on the Walleye with fried and slaw and it was fantastic! Come on by…plenty of ice cold drinks, awesome bar food and plenty of parking out back! Loved this place!

We went this weekend, we wanted to sit in the back so we could have a little privacy and talk while we ate, it did take a minute to get a table in the back but no big deal. After we sat we had to wait another few minutes for our drinks and then our order. After waiting for well over an hour a half a gentleman came back who was not our waiter and came with our check and asked if there was anything else he could get us, we had not had our food yet. Later this evening my husband did get sick and let me know the men’s bathroom was not clean at all. Will not be back.

Good service and atmosphere. Huge menu with a surprising variety of food. I had the tenderloin horseshoe. The tenderloin, bread and fries were excellent but a little overwhelmed by the canned nacho cheese it was covered with.
Can’t wait to try more!
