Good lunch, and I really don’t care what the 1-star reviewers might think. Only Asian option in town, other than Safeway’s hot deli. Chin-Amer is not my favorite choice when dining out, but I was with four tenderfoot family members who love the stuff, so. We ordered the expensive ‘family style’ meals, and while it wasn’t quite like what I was expecting, it filled all the squares for me. Plates came out in good succession, and our server was great. Was it all an MSG fest? Sure, and no one complained. Good meal with family, and good food. That’s all I need to report…

This was my first time eating here in about 20 years. We ordered combination dinner #2, #1, sweet and sour chicken with steamed rice, a dinner salad, and grilled cheese sandwich with fries for our little one. The egg flower soup was incredibly good and very fresh. egg foo young was a new experience for me and very good. The sweet and sour ribs really hit the spot. My wife loved the pork fried rice and sweet and sour pork. My mom’s dinner salad however was a bit of a let down it was literally lettuce and sliced carrots with dressing and not worth the almost $6 they charge. Our server was very nice and attentive. Food was brought out faster then we were expecting. Over all this is a great place to visit. Our order came to about $77 for 4 people.

Worst example of Chinese food imaginable, hardly edible. Everything was of lesser quality and flavor than that of canned food from the dollar store. Mongolian beef was identical to Dinty Moore canned stew… Chow mein was mostly celery in some sort of clear gelatinous sauce. Zero music playing, I’ve attended funerals with more inviting ambiance. Majority of booths are held together with duct tape. Not a great place to spend your hard earned money. I’d recommend passing or atleast treat yourself to a TV dinner or cup’o’soup.

We have eaten at Golden China several times over the years. Whether dining in or taking it to go. Last night we took it to and by the time we got home the paper bag was completely soaked in grease! The bottoms of our to go boxes were so wet from the grease you couldn’t hold on to them. We scooped our food onto a glass plate to heat it back up, the almond chicken and S&S pork were sooo dry, the sauces were good but the meat was horrible! The chow mein and rice were really dark, too much soy sauce. Hardly any veggies in the special chow mein and they hardly gave us any rice. We ordered 2 #1’s. Food has never been bad there before! I hope this isn’t the new normal

Awful! How on earth do fried praws turn out that way. Prawn was overcooked and gummy and the coating was underdone. Mind boggling. Sweet n sour pork was passable. Rest of plate was just a search for something edible. Mostly slimy cabbage.
Went with a group after a funeral. Server was very nice, no complaint there.

Is this the best Chinese food you’ll ever have? No. Was it edible, yes, in fact it was actually delicious, for some of it. The bbq pork was dry as a bone but it was quite tasty. The egg flower soup had great flavor. The sweet and sour pork was cooked well and the sauce was delicious. The almond chicken was also cooked well and the flavor was just about there. The rice was a bit heavy on the soy sauce but it was good. For the area? Awesome. Compared to big cities? Not as great but holding their own. The server was awesome and kind and I’m glad we stopped in and tried the food.

I have been driving by this place for years. Always heard good things about it but it’s in a little out of the way town in a rural area of northeastern Washington and didn’t think they would have good food. Boy was I wrong… The food was exceptional and the prices were more than reasonable… I live about 45 minutes from this place, but we’ll probably go back again next weekend… It’s hard to find good food especially good ethnic food in northern Idaho and Northeast Washington, but this place is the exception to the rule!!!
