Coming from New Mexico, “Mexican” food in Wisconsin won’t cut it no matter the place. I tried it here and there was plenty of protein. Another night I had their special meatloaf. The night that I had their burger I was pretty disappointed, the patty was well done when I asked for medium.

Dined here with three other people on a Sunday evening.

Very nice interior, had that Northwoods motif. Met hostess as soon as we walked in. We were seated immediately. Restaurant was about 20% full.

One of us was using a walker. Access for them was good. They had a ramp to access the dining area. Walker storage was a bit tight but they offered to store it at the front of the restaurant.

Waitress met us within a couple of minutes and was very good. She took drink orders. I had a local IPA from a town nearby in Grantsburg, it was excellent. My spouse had an Adventures martini. It was made with maple syrup from the owner’s property. She thought it was ok, but different. Probably wouldn’t order it again but it was fun to try.

Special was a custom Asian menu. None of us ordered from it.

I ordered the pepperoni and sausage pizza. Rated it 3.5 out of 5. it was a bit pricey; crust was a bit undercooked towards the center. Cheese was from a local dairy and was good. For price could have had more toppings. Marinara sauce was great.

Spouse had Pineapple teriyaki chicken. Said it was 4.5 out of 5. Rice, I think was a wild rice blend. Chicken was tender.

Guest had Jack Daniels Burger with fruit on the side instead of fries. She rated 5 out of 5. Fruit was actual fruit not like frozen fruit cup stuff.

Second guest had the ribs. He rated it 5 out of 5. Said fries were very good. Ribs were tender.

Arrived at 6. By 6:20 we had our check. We weren’t asked if we would like another drink…just a rush to get us out. The closing time is 9pm.
I asked the server if she was kicking us out and she said “No, you can stay as long as you want.”
We ordered meals and drinks. Never asked if we wanted another drink or an offer of dessert.
We’ll be back, but would like better treatment.

Our first time at Adventures. It was the fourth of July weekend so it was crowded but the service was great and the food good. The Walleye dinner especially! The bloody Mary’s look great but taste was sub-par. Everyone enjoyed the food though.
UPDATE: they now have a drink called Apple Berry, a must try

We went here for my sister’s bachelorette party dinner and the experience was awesome! Our waitress was great, very attentive, and on top of everything! The food was amazing!! We weren’t expecting much from a place tucked away like this, but we were all surprised with how incredible all of our dishes were. We have a cabin in Danbury, so we will definitely be visiting again soon! Thank you!

Not bad, just very basic. Simple and accurate menu. Clean enough bathroom. Plenty of parking. Pretty easy in and out right off the main drag.
Good vegetarian options, for this neck of the woods.

Had the most uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. Me and my family went out to eat here with my kids, my 2 1/2 year old was clanking the silverware together cause that’s the only thing/noise that would calm him, the worker came over and said take those away from him now ( he only did it like three times) and after he said that the whole staff was staring us down and watching us like a hawk the ENTIRE time which just made us uncomfortable. They weren’t very welcoming at all either. The food was super bland not the best at all. Food took wayyy too long which is also why my son was acting out while I was also trying to calm my 1 year old. Not going there ever again super unpleasant and super uncomfortable visit ever. Ruined our whole night

Came in on a rainy Saturday afternoon around 1:30. Our 2nd time of many to come. This place hands down has great food. Freshly made and the chef is fantastic. Friendly efficient service.
We had the open face Wild Rice Meatloaf w Mushroom gravy on whole wheat toast, and a Mushroom Cheeseburger and fries. I asked for medium.
Both were cooked to expectations and food piping hot and just delicious. That gravy kicked butt! The burger rocked. (Wasn’t too heavy, just right not messy). You can tell they do things FRESH
I tried to get pics quickly but my friend was already inhaling the meatloaf (highly recommended)
Thanks Adventure’s. We. Will be. Back.

Very nice place. The atmosphere and decor were spot on for this restaurant. The staff was friendly, funny, and attentive. The steak was incredible and the wine was good also. If I could make one suggestion it would be, offer a ribeye also. I would definitely come back again if in the area.

This is a yearly family stop on trips. It’s Cozy, warm, welcoming, and looks like a Cabin. The food is amazing. All sorts of options from Burgers to soups to salads and in-between. Even a great simple Kids menu. Pricy, yes, but so worth it.
