Al Chabab is THE BOMB !! We were looking for some good Mediterranean food, and this might be my favorite We tried Muhammara for the first time, and I fell in love ✨ Muhammara is hummus-like dip made from red peppers and spices. It’s a tad spicy, it’s kind of sweet, and it’s SOOO TASTEY!! We also tried the Lamb Mansaf. Everything was amazing, the service was amazing. I felt at home at Al Chabab ☺️
UPDATE: we came back the next day for more!! This time we tried the Al-Chabab Cherry Kabob and it did not disappoint!! This is seriously some of the tastiest food I have ever tasted

Al-Chabab thank you for making my day so special! I had the most delectable lunch with you. The pita sandwiches had the finest cuts of meat straight from head of a lamb or sheep. The grill added a plethora of flavor to each element of the sandwich that can only be described as breathtaking. Chewy, crunchy, crispy, sweet, salty, creamy, fresh, filling, and satisfying are a few words I can use to describe how my meal was. Mr. Chef Chamo I can’t wait to try everything else on the menu, especially the cherry chabob. You are a five out of five type Chef and I love that about you! I first came here 5 years ago when I first moved to Michigan. I had never been anywhere in the Dearborn area and this was one of the first (and best) restaurants I’ve ever been to! I’ve gone back with friends and family and always had a great experience. Amazing service, kind workers, AMAZING food!!! I left Michigan 2 years ago and still dream of this place and go back whenever I visit. 10/10 MUST go and try everything on their menu. I don’t remember the prices but the food was priceless.

What a great find! I was looking for an authentic Syrian restaurant in Metro Detroit to serve some dishes for a book club meeting. We tried the fried kibbeh, Aleppo spicy hummus, Aleppo hummus, garlic cream sauce, muhammara, yellow rice, fattoush salad and pita bread. All was absolutely delicious. Very flavorful! It really made our meeting special. The owner is so kind and generous. Food came out fast. Highly, highly recommend. We will be back! I want to try the cherry kabob next. Thank you Al Chabab! We are lucky to have you close by!

The food is spectacular !!!! The restaurant is spacious with lots of great seating. The restaurant is family owned and serves up family owned recipes that taste like home. The chef/ owner specializes in delicacies like head of sheep, intestines, and feet – things you cannot find commonly at other restaurants. They make the meat perfect with delicious soup and no bad smells. I highly recommend eating here even for the less courageous diners because their basic Mediterranean food is top notch. They have the best hummus in town.

Food, service and people were outstanding. Somewhat of a hole in the wall. Clean bathrooms. We were there for the FOOD and the people. Plenty of choices of Syrian dishes. If you are feeling a little adventurous, try the sheep’s head. The meat melts in your mouth and delish.

I’ve had the cherry kababs before but they were much better last time. I’m not sure I’ll be back anytime soon. But for what it’s worth, their hummus is top notch. And fattoush is nothing special.

Cherry kabobs are worth trying. It’s meat in a sweet cherry based sauce and this is the only place I’ve been to that has it. Lamb chop was good too but less unique so I’d try something else. Spicy hummus was the perfect level of spicy.

Most authentic Syrian food in Michigan! The dishes were large portion sizes and packed with unique flavors. You could taste the quality of the meat. Will definitely be going back to try their other items!

Great takeout food.! Loved the spicy Allepo hummus– was there a hint of honey in there?? Dying to know– and muhummadra. The yellow rice was so so good, perfect moisture! Not dried out and so flavorful. The Kibbeh was also so so yummy! Already excited to go back!
