Our founder Rusty Fenton’s dream was to bring the authentic taco stand experience to local communities and to become the neighborhood taco stand.
The dream became reality when the first Rusty Taco opened in a converted gas station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, TX in 2010. But Rusty Taco is more than just a place for street tacos. Rusty also believed in serving the community and creating a place where people from all walks of life can come together and feel welcome.
We are passionate about what we do and keep our menu fresh and simple. Deliciously uncomplicated tacos crafted by hand with recipes created by our founder, who famously said: “Tacos are the Most Important Meal of the Day®”!
Homegrown mini-chain serving a variety of tacos, breakfast fare, beer & margaritas in festive digs.

My husband and I were excited to go here for breakfast but unfortunately we found things to just be meh. I liked the dining area and thought it was decorated nicely. Service was okay. The breakfast tacos were pretty flavorless. I had the potato, egg and cheese taco. It was ok but the potatoes needed to be golden brown. My husband got the jalapeno sausage but the serving of meat was pretty skimpy. Their green salsa was the saving grace for the meal.

The steak street tacos were basically just a pile of ingredients that they threw into the container on top of three tiny tortillas that I could not pick up without them tearing apart. As a steak taco salad it was average and passable. As an order of street tacos, it was a failure.

Had an order of original chicken nachos. Tasted excellent. Son order beef nachos original style and a pork taco. He was pleased with his meal too. Will return soon.

Fun little joint with street style tacos that you can make into a bowl or a salad for a few bucks extra. I had the beef brisket taco bowl, and it was quite tasty! Service was friendly and prompt. Cool vibe inside, with a outdoor Cabana style. Feel. Feel. Some tables have beach umbrellas over them! Definitely worth checking out!

I got the spicy chicken bowl. It is spicy so don’t be fooled by others. I had it served on rice and it comes with cabbage, Black Beans, limes, and lettuce.
My son had a Texican Taco. It comes with tater tots.
Our experience with the cashier was good. He was nice and made good suggestions.
It’ an upbeat fun place.

Tasty tacos. If you want like tacos. Then you will find them here. Yummy. Tasty. Juicy. Wet. Moise. Mexican American tacos. Great salsas and environment. I would recommend y’all come here on Tuesdays because they have great specials and tacos then. The prices are fine and had great customer service. Food came out quick. Definitely will be back. And they have vegetarian options. I took cheese off mine and I’m pretty sure they were vegan

The Baja shrimp tacos are a go-to for our family, always a hit. The kids chicken strips and quesadillas were a good portion size and the kinda enjoyed.

We went here for a fundraiser event and I want to say thank you to the restaurant for supporting local nonprofits. This is a walk up and order spot with an extensive and interesting menu. It took a while for our food to be delivered and one dish was not delivered until about halfway through our meal. The portions were generous and the flavors were spot on. My dish (a bowl with rice shrimp and black beans) was tasty but ended up being just a bit too spicy for me. Next time I’ll have them tone down what I order. The Mexican street corn dish was really delicious with crunchy chips to dip, I thought it was the best of what we got. Hubby had the brisket nachos and I confess to having stolen several bites from his gigantic plate full. Clean up is self serve as well. The place was very clean and well lit but I don’t personally care for the noise level with an open kitchen and industrial decor.
