Cute little hole in the wall restaurant with good staff and good food! The pulled pork sandwich was very flavorful and smoky, and the potato salad was perfect. Our waiter was very nice and gave us just the right amount of attention. I will definitely be eating here again!

This place is listed as Riverside BBQ but has been changed to Big H BBQ. Wouldn’t know the difference as we were first timers.The pulled pork and the ribs were EXCELLENT!! The chicken and the beans were just ‘meh’ and the Cole slaw was OK. Our waitress was new and being trained so she was a bit slow, but we have high hopes. The prices were extremely reasonable and we will be back!

I have carried out twice here and gotta say this is some of the best brisket I’ve ever eaten. I love a good smoky barbecue, and Riverside is more than happy to oblige. If I had to recommend one item, however, I would definitely tell you to try the brisket burger. It’s like they substituted a thin slice of brisket for bacon, then slather on that delicious barbecue sauce for a figurative flavor explosion. I definitely need to try a few more items, but what I’ve tried is more than worthy of a five-star ranking.
Update (9/26/18): drove by there today and the sign says “Coming Soon: Big H Barbecue”… so not sure what to expect, ladies and gentlemen. I just hope it’s as good as Riverside was.

Very disappointing ! Very high priced liquid smoke. Their BBQ sauce is awful…to sweet and tastes like it was poured right out of a pour quality store bought bottle. Tried a full rack of Ribs….yuck ! Tastes like they were boiled to death, then cooked(steamed), in an oven , and then someone very heavy handedly poured liquid smoke on them. Other items tried were no better. The best thing I can say about the food at this establishment is that our dogs didn’t care much for the food , but seemed to enjoy the bones. Very high priced , nasty food. The only reason they received 1 star is that 0 stars was not an option.

Every time I go there they are out of at least one thing but more often than not they’re out of several things. I tried twice to get ribs but they were out. Third time I got the last rack of ribs but they were dry. The food tastes good when they are not out of it. Staff kind of unfriendly. Either that or very poorly trained, or not very bright.

The brisket was tender and full of flavor. Husband got ribs but wasn’t too impressed. Finshed them but then ordered Brisket after tasting mine. Fast and friendly service.

River Side BBQ is the best in town!! Food well lets just say best cooks around!! Prices are inexpensive and they also do catering jobs!! So drop in eat or if ya have a catering event srop in n ask about catering very reasonably priced!!

This little BBQ joint is one of the masters of the meat craft. Sampler bbq plate is where it’s at. Pulled pork, brisket and ribs were AMAZING. Sides of potato salad and baked beans. An if you like bbq sauce then you’ve come to sauce heaven. So many choices I don’t know which was better. I hope this place is a fixture and stays for many years to come. If I could give them ten stars I would. Don’t believe me? Then you’ll have to stop in or order ahead and try it for yourself.

First time eating here.wont be the last.Beef Brisket was excellent.Just be careful coming from Rogersville.if you cross the bridge,you have gone too far.Definitly worth the drive
