Overall, solid 5 stars, food and service. I had the banh mi chicken wraps. Just stopped in on a whim for lunch and sat at the bar. The chicken was super flavorful with that great smokiness Very fresh and beautiful presentation. And that wood fired bread! Fantastic! My only critiques are tiny tiny tiny details. But clearly these owners care about the details so I’ll mention them. Didn’t let Abby deter you from trying this place though. The menu looks amazing and I’ll be back multiple times to try it all. Again. Tiny, tiny details. No napkin with that fabulous bread, no silverware or napkin with the food, though yes to be fair it’s an app so….. But last, I’m sorry, but $4 for iced tea…. Just a little steep on that price, IMHO. Overall prices I thought were very reasonable. Lovely place, great decor and vibe, staff was attentive and prompt. Well done!

My husband and I had dinner Friday night and it was absolutely amazing! We had 3 appetizers: the tuna, calamari and the honey shrimp. All were delicious but the tuna was so fresh and beautifully presented, and oh that sauce…it was definitely my favorite!
After all of that, I had another small bite for my entree and had the Steak Kabobs. Another YUM!! My husband had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. My cocktails were PERFECT! My husband ordered a glass of wine (verbally, without looking at he menu) and since they did not have it, the owner personally came over to suggest a similar option and she hit the nail on the head! So thanks to her, we now have another favorite wine to add to our list! The server was so friendly and 3 of the owners came around and chatted and were so also so friendly! The head chef even personally came out to say hi and check on our meals! I heard that they had been busier earlier that night and things took a little longer than expected but DO NOT LET THIS DETER YOU FROM GOING! For only being open for 8 DAYS at that point, I applaud the entire staff for an amazing meal and overall excellent experience! The whole space is beautiful and the photo spot up front is gorgeous! Cannot wait to go for brunch!

I’ve been here twice… Once right before Thanksgiving and most recently this week. The first time I went, we had to wait 20 minutes, although we had a reservation and couldn’t get a drink from the bar because the bartenders were more interested in conversation than taking care of the people needing a drink. The food was just OK but overpriced and my husband and I decided we would come again next time we were in town. I tried it again Monday night and still not impressive. It seems like they are trying to be a great restaurant and I applaud their effort. My steak was overcooked, but I do not want to send it back because I did not want to wait another 30 minutes for another one. One of the people in our party had the redfish and they said it tasted like it was frozen fish. The drink drinks were good, but we’re overpriced for what we got. I’m OK with spending money for a drink, but give us a good drink, please. The atmosphere feels contrived and a barrage of several different interiors with no cohesive consistency. After two attempts, we will not be back.

The food was outstanding — genuinely excellent. Service was very good, attentive without hovering, and management even stopped by to check in, which is always appreciated. The place has a great vibe, energetic but comfortable, and overall we had a really great time.
That said, the reason this is a three-star review is the practice of charging a separate credit card fee.
This policy completely changes the ending of the experience. No matter how good the food and service are, leaving the table feeling nickel-and-dimed overshadows everything that came before it. It doesn’t feel transparent or customer-friendly — it feels punitive.
This isn’t about the dollar amount. It’s about principle and perception. In a competitive restaurant market, this kind of fee quietly drives customers away. People don’t argue, they don’t complain — they just don’t come back. Over time, that costs far more than the processing fees ever save.
If this restaurant eliminated the credit card surcharge and simply priced accordingly, this would easily be a five-star experience. Until then, it’s hard to justify returning despite how good everything else was.

absolutely loved my experience at one thirteen northshore! everything was amazing — from the food to the service to the vibes. the atmosphere is so nice and welcoming. i’ve always loved the original location in hammond, and this one is the perfect addition to the northshore!

My husband and I put our name on the waitlist at One Thirteen Northshore at approximately 6:30 pm Friday night. After not receiving a notification, we decided to head out to the restaurant to see if they had room for two. We were seated about a half hour later and within 10 minutes, our waiter greeted us. We promptly ordered the Mexican spinach appetizer, which took almost 40 minutes. When it arrived, it literally looked like a bowl of runny corn chowder soup without the jalapeños.
After the disappointing appetizer, we finally received our entrees approximately an hour later. I ordered what I thought was grilled redfish with crabmeat on top and my husband ordered the wood grilled jumbo shrimp which came with a side of broccolini. To my dismay, the redfish arrived heavily stuffed with dark crabmeat breading that tasted like it had been previously frozen and was heavily salted to where I could only tolerate one bite. My husband’s shrimp was acceptable but the broccolini was also heavily salted where he could not eat it.
When the waiter passed by, he obviously realized that I was unhappy with my meal. I informed him that it was not edible due to the poor quality of crabmeat and the heavy salt my entire meal was doused in. He immediately sent the manager over and asked if they could cook it to my specifications. I reluctantly agreed since it was almost 10 pm and my husband had already finished his meal and was ready to call it a night.
Long story short, I got my recooked meal to go and was quite shocked at the outcome. Not only was it overcooked, it had absolutely no seasoning at all!

The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and decorated throughout. I, personally, love the patio on a nice day with a margarita or watermelon martini in hand. The food is incredible! The chefs in the back have never failed me and I say that as someone who’s had almost the entire menu. The staff is always happy to see anyone walk through the doors and they treat them like family!

Had a couple of to go orders from here and been very impressed with everything. When picking up the food I keep noticing how classy and fun the place looks. I usually like my ribeyes simple but tried their Hawaiian ribeye and it was very good – a lot better than most of the steak houses on the North Shore. It had a great crust! Would highly recommend for takeout and will definitely be coming for a meal at the restaurant soon.
