The Lob Father is now in town. We may be the newest guy at Gather GVL but a badass nonetheless. We dreamed of a place where southerners could get a taste of the unique flavors and styles of northeastern lobster cuisine. Try our classic lobster rolls (Maine and Connecticut styles—we didn’t leave anyone out.), lobster BLTs, and fresh lobster salad garnished with lemon and avocado.

Got the lobster roll and the lobster Mac! The Mac was super tasty, the roll was pretty average, the chips and slaw that came with were awesome though. Tried to get a pbr and was told that their coolers weren’t working well so the beer was warm….. so that was a little off putting but I’m very thankful that they were honest.

Great spot! I had the CT lobster roll (warm with butter) and the lobster hushpuppies. I can honestly say the hushpuppies were the best thing I have had in a long time. Good portion and super flavorful! The roll itself was also good but those hushpuppies….heaven. Their seasoned chips are also a great side for the sandwiches. Being from NY/NJ I have a pretty good take on food, and I will definitely go back here!

Nope, never again. The location is terrible and dirty. The food is not the best for such an inflated price. I waited until I had to finally go ask for my cold food, they said it just came up, but I would say it sat for awhile. The roll was mediocre at best, hush puppies were dry and taste like salty cheap seasoning. The cole slaw was the only decent flavor.
Passing on this place would be a good choice.

This place is delicious and well priced for the quality! I came on a Wednesday around 530pm and it’s not too crowded but a good amount of people are here. Parking is $1/hour and the CT lobster roll was $23 which comes with chips and a baby container of coleslaw.
The service was also quick and efficient. The location is very cute and I love that there’s ~10 or so places to eat at in one area.
Keep in mind if this location (GVL) is busy that you may have a hard time finding parking or a spot to sit.

They need to try their own food!! You can tell when people don’t eat at their own restaurants. Bc this lobster Mac is NOT good. Y’all wrong for this and it’s over priced for this lil cup of mess. I really want a refund for real. Unseasoned Kraft shells and cheese with a little bit of shredded lobster on top!

I had the warm Lobster roll and was not overwhelmed. Nice large pieces of Lobster but they tasted like they might have been frozen. Not sweet and fresh like Lobster I have had before. Bun was nicely toasted. Chips and coleslaw on the side were average.

The service at Lob Father was absolutely amazing in 30 second I felt important and in good hands. I had the lobster grilled cheese with a side of drawn butter. It was delicious the cheese perfectly melted and gooey and the lobster fresh and succulent. 5 stars

The lobster grilled cheese was excellent. Make sure you do use the lemon wedge to squeeze on to the sandwich. It brings all the flavor together. The chips and lemonade were tasty as well. The cost of the food for lunch is pretty pricey. But very much worth trying. Gather Greenville is too hot this time of year and crowded for me … I recommended going early.
