Went there last weekend for dinner, and the food was excellent and the vibe was so inviting. Sofi made some excellent recommendations and was very welcoming and friendly. We ate gol gappe and channa chaat for appetizers, then split daal tarka for dinner and they made the potato stuffed partha vegan for us. Everything was very delicious! The daal tarka was my favorite. The partha and channa chaat were a little spicy, but so good I couldn’t stop eating. I am so glad we were able to find a restaurant with delicious vegan food, and we’ll definitely come back and try the other vegan options. Thanks again Sofi for a lovely dinner!

It’s a welcoming restaurant. Cozy on a rainy day, and also bright/lively. We ordered tea. Perfect. I appreciate that it came with sugar on the side. Amazing start to the meal. The appetizers (samosas) were flaky. So light and freshly made. 15-20 min later our entrees came at the same time. Warm, but not piping hot. Perfectly timed. The owner, Sofi, is attentive and sweet

The vibe here is pretty cool — like the artwork, the flowers, the dishware. The restuarant is as lovely as the owner’s personality. We had a large group and enjoyed the garlic naan, the Qurma Goat Curry (the menu’s font choice for some reason made me think this was Dorma Goat Curry). Asked for spicy on the Qurma and they did a nice job. I don’t like my food hitting nuclear levels of heat and this was perfect.
Also snagged some Kofta Curry. This had a weird texture but the sauces were pretty darn good. I’d go back and the leftovers are even better as the sauces get to mingle.

What an amazing restaurant! We have heard about how wonderful this restaurant is and we decided to finally go. My husband and I went for our 21st wedding anniversary in August. We walked in and were warmly greeted by Sofi herself! The food was amazing. I have never had Pakistan cuisine. The Samosa were different than the Indian Samosa. I am used to, but in the best way. The outside was crispy and the inside was filled with delicious potatoes and peas. The jasmine rice was so fragrant and so flavorful. The portions were decent size and we even had enough to take home. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to be surrounded by a beautiful ambience and wonderful service and of course delicious food. It is a very unique and niche restaurant in downtown Chico.

We had dinner at Sofi’z for the first time tonight. What a great place! The service and atmosphere were great! Felt like we weren’t in Chico. The appetizers and entrees were all delicious. We went with friends and ordered several dishes off the menu and they were all delicious. The lamb kebabs and butter chicken were my favorite! Can’t wait to go back!

My wife and I had her birthday dinner at Sofiz Kitchen and Bar recently and it was amazing.
I had Lamb Curry and curried vegetables and she had Chicken Tika with Curried Vegetables along with Garlic Naan.
They brought us hot tea while the meal was cooking and we also ordered some appetizers.
Everything was sooo tasty. Service was spot on and Sofiz is a great hostess.
At the end we were treated to Baklava and Chocolate Cake. An amazing night and we can’t wait to go back!

i had delicious dinner on Friday at sofiz . one of the best goat curry with garlic naan.
samosa was super fresh along with mint sauce ,made it great.

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! The owner was incredibly generous, friendly, and sweet to our younger guests. She brought them fries, coloring books, and gifted them special lip gloss and a teddy bear. The food was incredible, well priced, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere throughout the whole restaurant was simply magical with flowers and butterflies and little embellishments wherever you look. I will definitely be returning here often. Thank you, Sofi, for a magical evening!

Sofi is so friendly and welcoming. During busy times, make a reservation or expect a long wait. The food is worth the wait, I have been back a few times now. It is delicious and served family-style so it’s perfect for a group of friends who would like to try multiple dishes. I enjoyed masala chai, butter chicken and garlic naan. My spouse had kofta curry and mango lassi. My friends rave about the lamb. Also, she has put a lot of work into decorating her place and the bathroom is beautiful and has more amenities than expected. It is such a nice gesture of appreciation to her customers. We will continue to return and hope this restaurant remains a downtown staple for Chico.
