We found this gem as two complete tourists as we were passing through the southern unit of the Badlands. We saw a sign on the road and followed the other signs to the Cafe. It’s located inside of a youth/community center. It was adorable. It was clean, decorated for fall and spacious. We were the only two patrons. Got a grilled cheese, a BLT, both served with fries. Sandwiches were very well done (yes, you can mess up a grilled cheese and a BLT) and the fries were right outta the grease and plentiful. The young man who served us was polite and delightful even though, let’s be honest, he probably wondered why or how we ended up there. The above mentioned foods and two canned sodas- $13 and change. If you’ve got the funds, leave a tip- going to a good cause.

I ate here for the first time. Ordered a BLT and curly fries to go. Purchased a salad for lunch. My BLT was so good. Everyone was so friendly. I will be eating here again.

I’ve been to events catered by The Bluebird Cafe staff and it was bomb. So to come in and dine in the same standard was met. Clean, great presentation, fresh vegetables and the variety was great. The only downfall is no weekend hours…. for now.
