Cool place. Great food. After I paid the bill (and tipped $11, or 30%+), I was never offered a refill on our drinks or any other type of service. Kind of a bummer. There were exactly 0 other tables of customers. Anyway, next time I won’t pay the bill until I feel like leaving. Or, Ill just go to one of the other restaurants within a mile of this place.

Stopped by for a later dinner and man what a fantastic choice. The food was delicious I definitely recommend the meatball sandwich and the bone in wings. Our server Trish was great and recommended what food was delicious. She was a blast and an excellent server she goes beyond to ensure that you have a great meal. We will definitely stop here again whenever we are in town.

Has that wholesome neighborhood bar and grill atmosphere and is my favorite place in town for chili and sliders. They also have excellent burgers, French Onion soup, salads and now, breakfast. This place has had its ups and downs over the last couple of decades but it’s refreshing to see some new energy pumped into it again. The Sunday steak specials are bringing back the crowds like the good old days and it’s good to see the new menu coming out that includes a grilled pork chop! My loyalty to The Shoe” is beginning to return. It appears they are trying to be a cut above the typical “burger and wings” bar and the guy running the kitchen really seems to know what he is doing. Give them a chance if you haven’t been here in a while and decide for yourself.

Ordered an hour ahead online. Stood and waited at the bar for a good 15 minutes before I finally was able to get someone who told me they had no record of my order. Waited another 10 minutes for them to try and figure it out before a man came out and brought my order. He said he had just made it and they weren’t notified of my order and acted like it was my fault. However, the bag he brought me I had watched him pick up from the counter and it was the same bag I had seen sitting there for the past 25 minutes. I understand mistakes happen but taking their order system issues out on customers is unacceptable, as is trying to pass off cold food as fresh.

Wanted the Italian beef with cheese but without fries. They would not accomodate this request informing me that cheese would be extra even if I got no fries. I do not appreciate places that are this inflexible and unaccommodating. I ended up just getting the fish bites. They were sold with luke warm fries that tasted like They had been fried in fish grease. Next time my husband wants to come here I’m going to eat at home first.

This is a favorite for steaks. People come for the “cheap” steak flavor that is craved by the locals. They serve their namesake, Horseshoes, and they are good. Service is friendly, and the atmosphere has that townie bar feel to it. It’s not my favorite place for a quiet meal, but if you are looking for a bar with local flavor you could do much worse.
