Had bad experiences years ago and haven’t been back. Bad service and greasy cold fish made this a hard pass. I grew up down the street from a Long John Silver’s, so not eating there has been kind of sad. Tonight,
I hit the drive thru with pretty low expectations. I was wildly surprised at how good it was, how fresh it was, and even how good the service was through the drive thru. Really liking the new waffle fries. I got the #12 – 2 fish, 3 chicken planks, 2 sides & 2 hushpuppies. $20 when you add in a delish large Chocolate shake. Good stop, Not what I expected for sure.

The food is consistently overly greasy, and during my visit last night the experience was especially frustrating. I waited over 25 minutes for my order with no communication or explanation as to why it was taking so long. When I finally received the food, I was told it was all fresh, but the fries were clearly not fresh as they were cold. I don’t usually complain and I try to be understanding, especially as someone who has worked in food service. However, if customers are going to be waiting close to 30 minutes, there should at least be clear communication about the delay. Also the food should actually be fresh when waiting for so long.

I just left this location and paid $15 for my food. I got the wrong drink and the smallest portion of food that I have ever received. The two pieces of chicken are absolutely tiny. The hush puppies are bigger than my chicken. And I got a total of maybe 7 fries. I am so disappointed.

This is my second bad experience. I will not be back. I ordered fish and chicken – 4 pieces of each in a family meal. After I paid, they informed me I needed to pull around to wait while they waited on fish to come up. The last time they told me before I paid they would have to make fish and it would be an 8 minute wait. I had already paid and I pulled around. After 13 minutes of waiting I walked inside because I had to pick up my granddaughter across town in 10 minutes. They informed me they were waiting on chicken and it would be another 5 minutes. I asked for my money back because I couldn’t wait. That seemed to be difficult for them. I got the food within about 3 minutes. They were proud it was hot. It wasn’t the best food either. Fish was much smaller than it used to be. Chicken pieces were tiny. The crispy’s were cold and stale. Avoid this particular Long John Silver’s.

Not one other person there, employees still say a 20 minute wait for food. You’re fast food, the qualitiy isn’t enough to justify that, the price sure isn’t. Either poorly run, or the employees myopically think killing the business is worth their time. If no one goes there, the place closes, and you’re out of a job. It’s that hard of a path to trace.

Not the same LJS from my growing up. Loved all the lil crunchies with my fishies back then, not so much now. Still my favorite fish place for fast food. Strange to be partnered with A&W, another child hood favorite.

I went and picked up a mobile order from here, and my fish tacos had nothing but a piece of fish and tortilla! That is it. So when I took the 2 tacos back to have them corrected, when they made my new ones they literally cut the entire piece of fish in half on each taco. What a waste of my time and effort . So since I took them back I get less fish on the taco!! What a joke.
