I ordered takeout from this spot, and one thing to note right away is that the menus posted in photos online are outdated. It’s better to visit in person to check out the current offerings. They do have a few vegetarian options, and the pastas can be customized to leave out the meat.
The pizza was decent, but the pasta leaned a bit too sweet and felt overly heavy, which made it hard to enjoy. On the bright side, service was quick and efficient. Overall, it’s an okay Italian place—nothing exceptional, but it gets the job done.

All the bad reviews I refuse to believe are true. My partner and I got a deep dish cheese pizza and added a bunch of toppings along with the garlic cheesy breads and we both agreed this is one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had in our lives. The food, service and everything was unreal. As tourists it can be difficult to find truly good gems – this is one people shouldn’t miss out on!

I really wanted to like Bianelli’s in Kona because the food actually tastes good and the restaurant has such high ratings – but the service was seriously disappointing.
It took almost an hour just to get our order, and when it finally came, it was messed up. We had to ask multiple times for basic things like plates, drinks, and refills – 1 asked for my drink at least five or six times before it arrived, and had to do the same just to get a refill. The staff seemed totally uninterested or overwhelmed.
They also charge $4 for a tiny cup of ranch, and our margherita pizza didn’t even have basil on it – which is supposed to be one of the key ingredients. I mean, there is only a few ingredients. So I paid for an overpriced cheese pizza at that point.
To make things worse, they add an automatic 20% gratuity without mentioning it beforehand. For service this slow and inattentive, that’s pretty frustrating.
When we tried to call afterward to sort things out, they had already shut the phone lines before the restaurant even closed.
It’s honestly such a shame because the food is good, but the service, management, and overall experience were just terrible. I wouldn’t go back.
Just to add since the owners are super immature, I have photo evidence of these charges for all. And yes.
It’s been years since I wrote a review, and the fact I had to go out of my way to make one because it was such a TRASH experience and their whole staff was so terrible. I did just that.

Decided to order pizza to go for an easy first night in Kona after lots of travel. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza here came out, though there weren’t too many places to choose from without driving far out and this once was highly recommended by multiple sources. I got a half rooster, half garden island pizza and loved the combination. The crust was doughy, yet crispy, unlike the stereotypical undercooked Papa Johns. The BBQ chicken and artichoke side by side was delicious and I appreciated how many vegetables were actually on it, not just a bunch of olives and peppers.

Setting aside how I feel about the 60 mins to pickup ONE 16” vegetarian pizza – 2x the time quoted at ordering – it just wasn’t the pizza I expected for $50 (with tax, gratuity and fees).
The dough had a great texture, but was bland.
We had toppings missing (basil), and also was bland.
Trying one of the famous sauces promoted – white wine mushroom – turned into a “where’s my mushroom or wine” game.
On a brighter note, the staff was courteous + professional and the pie was hot n fresh.
There are some excellent eateries at Keauhou shops, and Bianellis is one. However it is not where I’d recommend or return to.

Great lunch experience! I met a friend here and she ordered a small pizza and I ordered the lasagne. The lasagne was a large portion and was layered nicely so that I could taste all of the ingredients in every bite. It was the right temperature, texture, smelled and tasted delicious. The server Patrick came to the table several times to check to see if we needed anything. He was friendly and attentive which made our lunch even more enjoyable.

Fours all across the board. Food was decent, could be better. I feel like they specialize in their pizza and dough offered products and that their pastas were just very mediocre. We weren’t unhappy at all just an honest opinion. I would definitely go back, so nothing to complain about. Service was good. Atmosphere was a little bit loud and busy but I guess it is what is to be expected being as it is in the middle of a shopping center with other bars, restaurants and stores around. All and all it was good.

My first time getting food from here. Looked great online. Used their app To order the food and for delivery. Once the delivery time had passed I waited about 10 minutes then called. The young lady that answered was very polite and pleasant, she acknowledged that my food was done but they were waiting on a driver. I was concerned that the food would be cold and I was reassured it wouldn’t be. Waited another 15 minutes called back same story. No driver. Told them I was heading out to pick up the food but I had already paid for delivery and a 20% tip and we needed to figure that out. As I was on my way I got a call the driver was there. I had not driven far so I said keep coming I’ll turn around. Driver arrived a few minutes after I got back. Apologized for being late and handed me the pizza. Got the pizza upstairs and it was cold. Did not look great (like it had been under a warmer for awhile.) I am sure it is a different story if you are in the restaurant but the delivery method and the excuses that came with it were poor customer service all the way around.

We never leave bad reviews, but this experience at Biennale’s Pizza in Keauhou was so outrageous we feel we have to share. Very disappointed as we love the food there and usually have nothing but good things to say.
We placed a $100 online order and when my boyfriend went to pick it up, the woman at the counter (female worker with dreadlocks) gave him a disgusted look, didn’t greet him, and didn’t say a word. He politely said, “Hi, I’m here to pick up an order for Erin.” Instead of acknowledging him, she just stared again, then walked away to give another customer their order before handling ours.
When she finally began bagging our food, she did so carelessly and ended up dropping part of it on the floor. Mistakes happen, that is not a problem…what is the problem; not once did she apologize or even acknowledge the mistake. The chef had to step in and say they’d remake it, while she sat back on the counter looking through the phone. She also failed to put the remaining food back in the warmer until my boyfriend asked her to. A few minutes later, she walked up and flatly said, “We’re going to have to remake the food because it dropped on the floor,” again with zero apology or accountability.
The complete lack of professionalism, courtesy, or even basic respect was shocking. This was one of the most uncomfortable and disappointing customer service experiences we’ve ever had, and unfortunately we will not be returning.
