Visited on 1/10/26 for our first time and had a wonderful dining experience. The chef/owner greeted us at check-in and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. After being seated, our waiter greeted us promptly. The food was flavorful and served hot, which we really appreciated. The dessert was also excellent. We will definitely be back!

We had stumbled upon this place when Los tios had an extremely long wait. They had a dinner rush but were able to accommodate us into the bar area! Our bartender Cindy wa so friendly and knowable about the menu you. I had The lamb that was on special and the seasoning or rub was amazing!! They cooked it perfectly to temp like I asked Medium rare! My fiancee had the osso bucco! The presentation was amazing and had great taste! I had An espresso martini that I loved And Cindy made him a nice martini! We followed up with the tiramisu and the canollis! The tiramisu was the best I ever had and so was the lamb! It was absolutely amazing experience! Everything is made in. House from a scratch kitchen! 10/10 recommend strongly consider this for an event or a date night!!

Went for my friends birthday lunch and we all agreed we had a great time! Saturday at noon was not at all busy. Service was attentive, friendly, and helpful with the specials. Not pictured is one of the apps which was a calamari but more of a mix of seafood. Everything was delicious and even the chef came by to check in on us how everything was tasting! Exceptional experience! Will come back

I am definitely coming back. My wife and I are always looking for great food, especially Italian. This is one of my top picks. The plates were so delicious. The pizza was light and a mouthful at the same time. The chicken carbonara with the light sauce was just perfect, with a hint of sausage to finish off the dish.
The service was excellent; everyone was smiling, and there was a gentleman who was very helpful and welcoming to all who passed by. He must have been either the chef or the owner. Either way, he made it feel very much like home.

From start to finish, this was an absolutely exceptional dining experience! The service was spectacular, the dishes were nothing short of phenomenal, and every detail felt thoughtful and intentional. Each plate was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor—clearly crafted with passion and expertise!

We have recently moved back to Houston from Paris & have been looking for a local Italian restaurant to become our “local favorite” (for us and our 9 year olds) & we found it! Magdalena’s will definitely be a place we come back to regularly.
The pasta & pizza dough are all handmade (the flour is imported from Italy). The service is attentive without being suffocating. The owner came by all the tables to check in.. it was so nice!

It was my first time dining here last night for Valentines, my date had recommended this for us and wow.. The price point for the quality and quantity of food you get is impeccable. We had the grilled octopus with the citrus salad, the chicken parm, and the carbonara. The pasta that came with the chicken was so delicate and fresh in flavor, and the octopus was actually life changing. Our server Horacio was so kind and attentive despite how busy it was, really on top of it. He also recommended we try the appetizer with garlic next time, and there will definitely be a next time! Thank you for a very memorable Valentines Day 🙂

Magdalena has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants in Houston. We ordered the branzino, and it was honestly the best we’ve ever had, and we order branzino a lot. It was even better than the one we had in Rome, which is saying something. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and unforgettable.
The pizza was another highlight. Our pizza-obsessed 4-year-old declared Magdalena his favorite restaurant because the pizza was “that good,” which might be the highest praise of all.

What truly sets this place apart is the warmth and talent of the owner, Nicolas. He stopped by our table multiple times, made us feel genuinely welcome, and it’s clear how much pride he takes in every dish. He speaks more than four languages, is an exceptional chef, and brings a personal touch you rarely see anymore.

Always surprising to me the caliber of restaurants that choose to locate in a strip mall. Fresh hand made pasta, soups from scratch, not your typical array of pizzas and antipasta. Cozy dining experience with outside seating and very attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit.

Stopped in for a quick bite with a friend at lunch time. Had a margherita pizza and salad that I enjoyed very much. The owner and chef, Mr. Nicholas, came to our table and greeted us kindly. He even offered us a free dessert of a delicious strawberry sherbet.
