Our first time in and it won’t be our last! My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and got the spicy honey and said it was awesome. Big portion so that was lunch too. I had the kitchen sink omelette, which was really yummy too. Everybody had a different flavor. Our server was very friendly and the atmosphere was really cool. We look forward to our next visit

Absolutely love this place! Staff and owner are wonderful. Food is good for a great price and quantity. Have been here many times. Mistakes happen but they fix them! The lady busing tables accidentally took my more than half eaten salad while I was in the bathroom and they made me a completely fresh new one, even after saying it was okay. The owner is always working hard, and can even be seen taking orders, cleaning tables, running food. Very hands on, you can tell she’s a boss that won’t ask you to do anything she’s not willing to do. I started coming here because of one of her elderly regulars. She was on vacation this last week and answered her cell phone for him. He apologized for calling on vacation and said he would call in to Caleb’s to give his order. She assured him it was no trouble, took his order and sent it on….. WHILE on VACATION. True dedication, you can really see the love she has for her business and customers!
Top notch customer service! You won’t be disappointed.

BEST GLUTEN-FREE WAFFLE !!!! My wife is a Kansas City native so we were in town visiting from Atlanta for the holidays and discovered this amazing place thru Google Maps “breakfast options”. We visited the day after Christmas, and again 2 days later before we left town heading back to Georgia.

Our server RED was the best! Always smiling and polite, and she remembered us and our orders when we came back in that second visit. We hope she is still working here on our next visit to KC.

My wife has a gluten sensitivity and absolutely loves the Gluten-Feee waffles. Our kids love the cinnamon rolls, and their french toast is incredible.

I recommend this place to anyone looking for great breakfast in KC.

Came here for lunch on Sunday and boy is this spot popular! Thankfully the wait wasn’t that long, and they seated us in a nice booth (always useful with young children). There’s a good amount of seating inside as well as some outside (though it rained the day we came, so no one was outside). They have large booths (could fit 4 comfortably, up to 6) as well as smaller, 2-person booths, and tables.

Everything was delicious! My sister, who is gluten free, said it was the best gluten free waffle she’s ever had. I normally don’t like scrambled eggs, but their scrambled eggs were perfect, not dry, and not overly moist. The cinnamon bun French toast was sweet, yet also cinnamon-y, and my kids gobbled up their waffles with gusto.

All the food came out fairly quickly after we ordered and service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. Honestly, I understand now why it was so packed when we first arrived. Highly recommend!

Delicious breakfast and great service. Had the eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon, tomato, and spinach. The hollandaise was just ok but the rest was delicious. He had the classic and it was good. The waffle had a great flavor. Will definitely come again.

Tangy Gleets

This is a cute and classy spot. In a quiet neighborhood shopping area, this place brings you carafes of great hot coffee and dining to be experienced.
Thick slices of rye toast and orange marmalade in the caddy are hallmarks of yummy. The omelet was beautifully prepared and fluffy. The breakfast potatoes were exactly as described. I will be back!
I would recommend that you leave the kids under 5 at home. There are options here, yet let there be a place for adults to enjoy a meal without screaming toddlers.

I wish I could give a better review but the rating is based on an average between different experiences I’ve had at this restaurant. On one visit I had a waitress named Red. She was great! She was outgoing and attentive. Our food came out perfect and was quick. The veggie omelet was so tasty. On a recent visit, we had a waitress named Becky. She was rushed and even gave off an annoyed vibe. When I first sat down, there was a huge puddle of water under our table. I ordered coffee, biscuits and gravy, eggs over medium, and the counrty potatoes. When my coffee came out, it was cold. I politely asked for a new pot of coffee. Before I could get the rest of my request out of my mouth Becky ran off very annoyingly with that pot. I did not get a chance to ask for a new cup so when she came back I asked for the new cup and she sighed and gave me the most annoyed look. At this point I wanted to leave but my husband wanted to stay. Then, when my food came out, my potatoes were burnt on one side and under done on others. I said I don’t want burnt potatoes. She then argued with me saying they were not burnt. She frustratedly grabs my plate and runs to the kitchen. I didn’t get to address the fact that my eggs were over hard not over medium like I ordered. The biscuits and gravy were the absolutely flavorless so I didn’t eat them. The new potatoes were almost raw and I just ate the eggs. At the check out desk I told them at that I was not happy with Becky and the food and they didn’t seem to care. After crying about this in the parking lot I called the restaurant and talked to Rebecca the manager. I shared this experience with her. She sounded annoyed and had no concern or remorse. She said thanks for sharing and she’ll pass this along. The prices are great but that is best part of this restaurant. The food and service can be a hit or miss. I’ll just keep frequenting their cousin’s restaurant Ronnie’s. The food and service is excellent every single time.
