We had Don Joe’s at Rockville from their food truck. The servings were massive and they were soooo good! Not a lot of seasoning so it wasn’t spicy, the food just spoke for itself. There was a downright magical container of salsa that gave it a little kick. Probably the best meal I’ve ever gotten from a food truck. The truck itself is not fancy but don’t be deceived! I had the carnitas burrito and my husband had a chicken quesadilla.

We are camping nearby and got into our site kind of late so decided to eat out. Wow! This place has REALLY good food. I got the fajita steak quesadilla, and my kid got the carne asada plate. Both delicious. This place is in the middle of nowhere. What a hidden gem! We wish we could teleport here whenever we want Mexican food. Sadly, we live about 4 hours away.

I cannot say enough about the superior quality of the food. I was driving by on my RV tour of the local covered bridges and could absolutely not resist pulling into this hole-in-the wall Mexican restaurant in a town named Montezuma!
After being seated immediately, and my drink order taken (no alcohol served), I did a quick Google search and found an overall 5 star rating (with many reviews).
I was intrigued, and ordered one of the house specialties, chili verde. The waitress came back out to tell me that the meat for the chili was ready, but that the chef was concerned the verde sauce was too hot, but they could serve it on the side. Very thoughtful approach.
The chili verde (sauce and all) and all the fixings served were delicious. It was such a large portion that I carried home at least half of it.
I travel full time across the US, and nowhere have I experienced Mexican food this unexpectedly delicious.

We eat here several times a week. The menu is large, including many combination dishes, seafood options, and vegetarian dishes too. Always good! We love it! On Saturday mornings we really enjoy the buffet. The menu now offers several different kinds of homemade cake for dessert. The chocolate flan is especially good!

Absolutely a hidden gem of a place. I stumbled across this place on accident but it’s completely amazing, the staff was very professional and courteous towards everyone that walked thru the door. The food was amazing, super fast for a sit down place. They even included the kids in conversation and that’s huge completely made us feel welcome. Definitely will be back. Quickly became my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area.

A. MA. ZING!!!!!!!! The sign is so small that it’s difficult to find at first and then, we weren’t sure of what to expect when we walked in. It’s rather messy inside, but, OH MY GOODNESS, the food is to die for!!!! The owners are incredibly accommodating and personable. The 7 people in our group represent 4 different families from 4 different states. We stay at Turkey Run State Park once a year and we will eat at Don Joe’s EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. from now on.
