Wow, I was very unimpressed with the Kahlua Pig Sandwhich, the over all cleanliness of the place and the server that kept approaching my table as I was trying to eat. I didn’t appreciate his, what could me understood as sexual, advancements. He had to have shown up at least three times the 15 minutes I was here. The order did come out fast though, with a much too hard chibotta bun, basic stringy pork and a wonderful Pineapple Sauce. The chips that come with the meal are Maui Sweet Onion and also a complete flop. The best part of the meal was the Drink and I left in a haste so I didn’t have to press sexual harassment charges on the floor person. Just not good at all; all the way around with the exception the cashier. Waste of money and what could have been a decent lunch.

Wow had dinner carry out here the other night and found it delicious and plentiful! I have had the chicken and white rice and have heard the pork is delicious too. Ordering for take out is simple on an app. Toast I believe. At any rate skip the line and there is a person handling the take out. The menu seems limited but they do it all well.
Parking lot is tight and exit onto Davis Hwy backs up during rush hour.
I’ll definitely be going back.

This place has quickly become one of my absolute comfort-food spots. I have a lot of food allergies and chronic health issues that make eating out incredibly difficult, yet this place has never disappointed me. The consistency, quality, and care they put into every meal are truly exceptional.
There have been days when I’ve shown up physically exhausted and in pain, and somehow I always leave feeling better. The food is warm, comforting, and reliable in a way that’s hard to find.
Their customer service is just as impressive. Every interaction is friendly and welcoming, and there’s a very kind gentleman who works there that my husband and I have chatted with a few times—his attitude is always genuinely positive and uplifting.
For me, eating here is an all-around experience: great food, great people, and a place that feels safe for someone with many dietary challenges. I’d recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for delicious food and wonderful service.

My husband and I got carry out for dinner and it was great. The food is really good. It tasted like fresh grilled meats and homemade sides. The veggies tasted good and had pineapple pieces in it which was a fantastic contrast! It felt like a healthy option too. We will be coming back!

Tasty meal at Pounders on October 10th, 2025. It’s a fast casual place, so easy order and pay. Staff very nice, prices good, and food well cooked. Our favorite was the chicken teriyaki. A bit disappointed that the Spam Musubi was out. Hope it’s there next visit.

We ordered the chicken teriyaki and it came with rice and one side and because we don’t do carbs we asked for extra veggies, Which was no problem for them.Dave came to our table and asked how we were doing. The staff was super friendly. The prices were good. We will definitely go back.

10/10 definitely recommend!!! Everything here is amazing and fresh and full of flavor!! The service is great and friendly and the owner David is just as friendly. Favorite place to come and get food that’s enjoyable, even got my friends and family addicted! Hope this place stays around for a long time. Always positive experiences anytime I come back. Been meaning to try Pounders for a long time and finally did the other day. I wish I had sooner! I was greeted by a kind employee opening the door for me and welcoming me in, which is always a great start. The plate of teriyaki chicken, rice and macaroni salad was delicious and I was very surprised at the affordable cost for such great quality and portion of food. I enjoyed it so much, I went back the very next day! Pounders is now on the top list for me.

I frequently visit Pounders in Pensacola and am always impressed with the extremely friendly staff, quick service and consistent amazing flavor. All of the staff is extremely friendly from cooks to cashiers. I’ve noticed David is always friendly with guests and making connections while helping his team as well. As ann individual in management, it’s refreshing to see leaders working alongside staff as a complete team. I’ve never had a bad experience with Pounders of Pensacola and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great food in a great atmosphere.

I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant! I 10 out of 10 recommend anyone and everyone to come try this place! Hands-down has the best Kahlúa pork, teriyaki steak and garlic chicken I’ve ever had in my life and the brown rice and leafy greens with the teriyaki sauce and pineapple barbecue sauce will blow you away!! Don’t just take my word for it. You have to try it yourself.
