On a recent quick visit to Buena Vista, we finally had the opportunity to check out Spark Provisions. What a great spot in a cool town. They were actually closed when we were there so we got the full tour of the place. Love the grab and go concept with the meals being made fresh right there on spot. Even with some ingredients grown right out back.
We grabbed some pasta salad, bean salad and chips and salsa to go. And I’m not just saying this because they are family, but those were the best sides I’ve had in a long time. They were so good that my kids ate more than I could and they don’t normally eat bean salads. We are looking forward to visiting again.
If you are in town and need a place to get some good meals or additions to your existing meals, or just some cool foodie stuff you can’t miss this spot. Also I heard they do catering too!
Can’t wait to visit again!

I’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened, but had previously always visited BV out of season. This week I was in town for my mother’s birthday and was finally able to stop in. So far I’ve tried the Panang Thai chicken curry, Atlantic cod, picked golden beets, key lime pie, huckleberry cobbler and strawberry crisp. There are so many great things about this place to love. I’m someone who always endeavors to step it up two or three notches in the kitchen, but when I come to BV I’m usually here to relax. To be able to stop by and grab meals that I would endeavor to create myself (if my plating was better) with no shopping, prep or cleanup time and none of the mess, using top-notch ingredients with no added preservatives or unnecessary salts or fats and the option of being ready to eat, requiring just a bit of time in the oven, or to keep refrigerated for later – all at a reasonable price – is fantastic. And the gradually rotating menu means that there’ll be something new to try next time I stop by. Of all the places to ‘eat’ in BV, this is where I’m going first.

Spark Provisions catered our wedding when our other plan plans fell through and it ended up being the best thing that could have happened! Once we tried their food we knew we were in safe hands. Justine and Seth are so easy to work with and let us add Bison steak with horseradish dressing to the order because she knew how much we loved it. All of our guests raved over the apps (especially the giant shrimp and the meatballs) and buffet. They made the pick up and rental process easy and even introduced us to some people that could help with the catering support. Spark both fit our weddings vibe and made our event feel special.

I was given a very high dollar amount on a gift card. They were closing for the season so I had to choose several meals to use or freeze. The shrimp boil was flavorless and hard to peel. Actually every meal was bad. I was hoping they would be tasty, but was very disappointed. It was pricy for something I had to take home to cook.

This place is great. I was traveling through BV on a cross country motorcycle trip in June of ’22 and needed to stop in town to pick up dinner and I was so lucky to stumble upon this place. Instead of another freeze dried camping meal or a can of stew I got to dine on perfectly seasoned and well executed dish of fresh vegetables and jerk chicken that paired perfectly with the Pinot Noir I bought. Made for an elevated camping experience that I will always remember.

Great shop with the best owners and employees. I usually grab a croissant BLT or shrimp cocktail for a quick lunch and appreciate that there’s never a wait and it’s always delicious. Popped in for an eggplant parm entree today because it’s been a loooong, busy weekend as a service worker here in BV and I wanted to come home tonight and eat my feelings. The eggplant parm was the perfect companion and my only regret is not discovering the entree section of the case sooner. Thanks guys, you’re always fantastic!
