Had a great time at Towson Tavern. Justin was our server and genuinely the best we’ve ever had. Super relaxed, friendly, and just naturally good at what he does. He checked in at all the right times and made the experience feel easy and enjoyable. Service like that sticks with you — we’ll absolutely be back. Oh, and one of my favorite places to get a margarita!

Big Tom made our drinks. Never had an espresso martini, but by far the best drink i’ve gotten from a bar ever. Received multiple check-ins making sure we were okay, attentive and genuine service.

If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and visit this incredible restaurant – you won’t regret it. Honestly, I was blown away by everything from start to finish. Don’t let the fact that it’s located in a college town fool you; this place offers a dining experience that is second to none. The food and service are truly unmatched.
As someone who has spent many years working in fine dining, I can say with confidence that it’s rare to come across a place with such quality. We started off with the surf and turf appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. Along with that, we had a cheese dip paired with pita that had been perfectly fried – both were beyond amazing and left us wanting more. The oysters were fresh and mouthwatering, living up to the high expectations we had. And the short rib? Perfection. It was tender, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection.
What really set this place apart, though, was the service. Our server, Justin, was fantastic – attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly without being overbearing. He truly enhanced our dining experience, and it’s clear that the staff here take great pride in their work.
From the food to the service, this restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience that you won’t find anywhere else. Highly recommend!

This is a great place that feels a little upscale but has a very laid back atmosphere. Our server was awesome, although it was his first night there it seemed as if he had worked there forever. The drinks were fantastic!! The crab dip was very good, but the pita chips that went with it were amazing!!! The lamb shanks entrees was so flavorful and tender! This is a great place for a relaxing night out!!

Party of six adults plus two children with reservations Saturday 5:15. Table was ready, waiter was great with the little ones. Food was delicious. Calamari was very good. Not rubbery. Lamb shank and beef short ribs were great!

We made a reservation through Open Table online for lunch at Towson Tavern with their chef. We checked the menu options. When we were seated at the booth, the menu on the table was Recher Menu….a bar menu…not the Tavern’s. I was not aware that lunch at the Tavern was the Recher menu. It was very disappointing as it was just satisfactory “bar food.” Had we known that it was an entirely different restaurant in the Tavern setting, we would not have chosen it.

I came here for brunch and it was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely amazing everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The bartender was hands down the best super friendly, attentive, and made some of the best drinks I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable in. Towson Tavern definitely exceeded my expectations I’ll be coming back soon!

Tonight was my first visit to the Towson Tavern, and it did not disappoint! The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The service was attentive and not overbearing. The Chef visited our table, as did the Manager and that was very much appreciated. My only cons: the grilled bread was a bit charred and they were out of one of the 4 dessert offerings (of course that was what I wanted). I highly recommend this dining spot and suggest weeknights, as they seem to be less busy. Parking is easy if you continue around the circle, exit on Joppa, take the first right onto Deleware, proceed to the first intersection and park in the lot to your right. This is almost directly behind the restaurant. They also have free valet some evenings.
