Went here for our Girls Christmas Dinner party lastnight, we all had a blast. The servers are amazing and very attentive. The Food is so delicous specially the fire roasted pork belly and the burrata. I ordered atlantic swordish it was so tasty and so meaty, the servers are so nice to take us picture. The restaurant atmosphere is vibrant, elegant very stylish the decors and design pretty. The GM went by to say Hi to us and very helpful she’s so sweet to made possible to get us a available seat at their speakeasy at the buttom of the restaurant. The christmas decor feel the christmas spirit and live music. I recomment this restaurant the food so delicous and elegant stylish and the parkiing lot is so huge, easy to park and convinient specially town of scottsdale is plus of huge parking lot.

I was in the Scottsdale area on a Sunday evening, so I decided to stop in. I sat at the bar and ordered a tequila neat. When the bartender brought my drink, he stated here is your underwhelming drink. Hmmm. There was another bartender(in pic) that came over and did take an order for me on a Caesar Salad which was delicious. He also recommended the speakeasy after I was done eating. He was kind enough to escort me to the speakeasy, which is night and day from the bar upstairs. There I was greeted by a hostess, who was very nice to accommodate me at the bar and met Chris the bartender. He was very knowledgeable in higher in Tequila’s and made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely be returning to the speakeasy.

What an unforgettable evening at The Americano in Scottsdale! From the moment we stepped into this sleek, modern Italian-inspired steakhouse, we were captivated by the vibrant yet intimate atmosphere—dim lighting, plush seating, and a bustling energy that screams upscale without feeling stuffy. It’s the perfect spot for a special night out, and the fact that it’s home to the hidden gem of a speakeasy downstairs, Tell Your Friends, adds an extra layer of allure for those craving a post-dinner adventure.

We kicked things off with a round of cocktails, and my smoky Old Fashioned was a masterpiece: rich amber whiskey over a massive ice cube, garnished with a perfectly twisted orange peel and a Luxardo cherry skewered on a sleek pick. It was smooth, balanced, and set the tone for the indulgence to come.

The appetizers were showstoppers. The whipped ricotta was creamy perfection, topped with a vibrant herb pesto, crunchy nuts, and a drizzle of olive oil—scooped up with warm, house-made bread, it was like a hug from Nonna. Then came the pull-apart garlic rolls, baked in a cast-iron skillet and showered with freshly shaved Parmesan; they were fluffy, buttery, and impossible to stop eating. Our server even treated us to a tableside spectacle, stretching fresh mozzarella right at the table with gloved hands—it was theatrical, fun, and resulted in the silkiest cheese imaginable. We also devoured the grilled figs wrapped in prosciutto, paired with torched mozzarella slices and fresh basil; the sweet-salty contrast was divine, with a balsamic reduction tying it all together.

For mains, we dove into the house-made pastas, which are clearly a highlight here. The rigatoni in a velvety pumpkin sauce with sausage, herbs, and a dollop of burrata was autumn on a plate—rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. The agnolotti in brown butter sauce, filled with what tasted like short rib and garnished with pea tendrils and Parmesan, melted in your mouth. And don’t get me started on the tagliatelle Bolognese: al dente ribbons tangled in a hearty, slow-simmered ragù that was meaty, tomatoey bliss.

We saved room for dessert, and the red velvet layer cake was a towering triumph—moist crimson cake alternating with cream cheese frosting, topped with piped whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa. It was decadent without being overly sweet, the ideal finale.

Service was impeccable throughout: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. Our waiter guided us through wine pairings flawlessly, and the pacing was spot-on for a leisurely meal.

After dinner, we descended to the lower-level speakeasy, Tell Your Friends—a sultry, 1920s-inspired hideaway with live jazz, craft cocktails, and an exclusive vibe that felt like a secret society. It’s the perfect nightcap spot, accessible right from the restaurant, and elevated our entire experience to legendary status.

The Americano isn’t just a meal; it’s a full sensory journey. If you’re in Scottsdale, do yourself a favor and book a table—you won’t regret it. Five stars all the way!

We came here for our anniversary last night and were blown away. The fresh design updates on the inside make the restaurant feel elegant yet somehow still approachable. The service was impeccable. It seemed like every time something was nearly low or ready to be cleared, someone popped out of nowhere to take care of it. Now… the food was the highlight. The scallop crudo flavor had everything – a little sweetness, citrus, heat. The burrata was perfect. The bolognese flavor was comparable to what we had in Italy & with the freshness of the pasta it came together so well. The beef cheek ravioli basically melted in your mouth. The sauce was rich but not overpowering. The swordfish was a flavor bomb in the best way. My husband isn’t typically a lover of cooked fish but it was his favorite thing we tried. We rounded it all off with the Bourbon Apple cheesecake. I had no idea cheesecake could be so fluffy. We can’t wait to come back. Huge thank you to the whole staff including Chef Peter McQuaid who made our night so special.

Date night at a new place! My husband, Dan, and I have made a list of so many great restaurants in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area that we have never had a chance to get to. So each week we pick a new place and GO. The Americano was our first one and they COMPLETELY spoiled us for all the others. We cannot wait to go back!

The moment you open the door to enter, your experience begins. We were greeted with big smiles and an eagerness to get us started. We sat at a high top in the bar area and loved the view of the amazing decor. The sculpture art and lighting was perfect as was the music, Chet Baker playing and singing, set the perfect date night mood. Our server was Sunny and she absolutely lived up to her name in so many ways.

Sunny informed us on the menu and even helped us choose between various options. We started with cocktails from the bar (Ketel on the rocks for me, Hendrick’s/Tonic tall for him) and the rosemary foccacia. The foccacia was lightly toasted and came with whipped ricotta and a tomato confit. It was lightly crunchy on the outside and so soft and warm on the inside. YUM! For our entrees I chose the Faroe Island Salmon with a butternut squash caponata on a zucchini pesto sauce and it was cooked perfectly medium (firm but moist) and the toppings/sauce married together perfectly for one incredible bite. The portions were generous and I ate the whole thing (which doesn’t happen often). Dan had the Campanelle ala Vodka with crispy prosciutto. That’s his favorite pasta sauce but this version became his new favorite. Often it can be over-garlicky but the chef at Americano’s version is super fresh flavored, bright, and light though creamy. Not sure how they do that, but they do! He at all of his too and jokingly asked for a box for the left over sauce. 🙂

We wanted for nothing. The staff is so attentive but not overly. It was fun to hear others around us laughing and having a good time as well. We saw someone nearby get the hand pulled mozzarella and it looked AMAZING as did the tableside Tiramisu. We are going back to just experience those and try other things on the menu. This is a place you definitely want to try EVERYTHING because the attention to detail warrants it. Thank you, Sunny, for a great dinner date! We will be back!

Went here for my birthday dinner. Taylor was an amazing server. The food was delicious, service was amazing, drinks were unique and delicious. The GM stopped by and said hello and found out he’s new to the area and made recommendations for destinations to visit. Overall an amazing time. Thank you for making my birthday spectacular. Will definitely visit again.

I had to knock a couple stars off of the food because it simply wasn’t seasoned enough. All 4 of us agreed that our main dishes needed to be seasoned. We also got 5 sides to share and only the spinach was seasoned properly. The service was also not great at this price point. It seemed to take an excruciating long time to get our first drink. The server was friendly enough, just not available enough. The water boy was on point though. I was also disappointed with the speak easy downstairs. I ordered a espresso martini only to realize too late that it was from a tap. If I’m going to pay $23 for a drink it better be hand made. How disappointing and bitter that drink was. It’s not a bad place, but for the cost of the evening they need to step up their game.

Great happy hour, Bella was awesome at the bar.

The high west cocktail was a twist on a paper plane an excellent – fresh and zippy but balanced.

The scallop crudo on HH was a killer bite too.
