Food was incredible. Service was slow but it was Very busy when we went. They definitely aren’t staffed adequately for how big the place is. Hoping that changes. Otherwise a very good experience.

AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: We dined around 3 pm on a weekday. Upon arriving, we asked for a booth. The hostess, who was also our waitress, walked us all around and said the only booths were all dirty. No one had bussed them. BTW, when we left 1 1/2 hours later, these tables were still not cleared. They were still dirty. Finally, the waitress spoke to another staff, who managed to find us a booth. It took forever before our waitress came back to take our drink order. She did apologize profusely for the wait. She was nice. I take it they were busier than they thought? Or understaffed? I ordered a margarita, which took forever to come. The guacamole was good. The steak fajitas were good. Ordered a margarita to go. It was a few minutes before the waitress came back to say the bartender didn’t have what was needed to make the on the rocks margarita to go. After about 20 minutes, the waitress and bartender came to our table to say that triple sec for the margarita could not be found. She asked if I’d be okay with a frozen margarita instead. I agreed, although the on the rocks margarita was better and much fresher tasting than the to-go frozen margarita. I used the restroom and there were no rolls of toilet paper in the dispenser. There was a toilet paper roll on the floor of the stall?? We will come back when they get the kinks worked out in one year? Two years?

Street tacos are the best (soft meat well sesoned, and good portions), and the chimichanga vary savory. Excellent service. Liked the atmosphere, and took some pictures.

I’m a California girl, and I know GREAT Mexican food. Since moving to Covington in September, I’ve really been missing it… until I found THIS place.
The food is flavorful and fresh, the service was great, the atmosphere was awesome, and the margaritas were off the hook!
Louisiana REALLY has the BEST FOOD in the world!! I say this place passes the Louisiana flavor test! It is so good!
Bonus points for being super close to our home, which is dangerous because my boyfriend and I will definitely be here a lot!
California-approved and makes me love Louisiana even more!

We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it disappointed where it needed to deliver. Super slow service and when thec food finally arrived it was cold and not very good. The Northshore isn’t lacking in Mexican options, which makes it easy to not have to return to this one.

The taste of my food was good but it was very cold. The service was very slow I had to ask several time for a refill my table was not checked on I had to flag down another person to see where my drinks were at my appetizer didnt come till the end of my meal I sent my food back to get reheated and cane back and it was my lukewarm over all my server was nice but was not impressed

We had a large party of 25 and even though there was a little mix up with our reservation they immediately accommodated us and offered us the party room at no charge. The service was great, the food was unreal!! So good. I believe this place is working through some new business growing pains with a few minor things that could be improved (no hand towels in the bathroom, no silverware until after food came, and the mix up with our reservation) but overall we had an amazing time, the food was fantastic and had beautiful presentations. I will be back and trust that they will work out the new minor kinks!
