10/5 stars! MUST visit restaurant for sure. Fresh, flavorful food with quick & kind service.
The food is seriously mind blowing. I have never had shrimp or salmon like that before, and I am so sad that I am only visiting Poulsbo for a few days. If I could eat here every day, I would. Even the salad in the bento box was amazing. The fried rice as well is worth the upgrade – it isn’t greasy or heavy, it’s fluffy and light fried rice.
I came from Houston with a lot of Asian and sushi eateries — but this is better than anything I’ve tried in all my travels. It’s on par or better than the nigiri I had in Japan.
I don’t know what they do to their California roll, but it is phenomenal. Also, the size of the salmon nigiri is VERY generous. Salmon melts like butter in your mouth, too!
For two people, we ordered:
Shrimp nigiri (2)
Salmon nigiri (2)
California roll
Shrimp tempura
Fried gyoza
Shrimp skewer bento box
Only ~$75 for all of this and a soda! Mori Sushi & Bento, I hope you guys stay in business forever. I don’t know when I will be able to come back to Seattle, but this is the first place I’m going when I do.
P.S. I am so sorry I didn’t take pictures of the food! (But I might go back tomorrow with that excuse to eat there again…)

Just as amazing as the first time. The salad in the bento was so good we were dipping the cabbage from under the shrimp skewers in the dressing. My partner and I have been raving about this salad for DAYS.
Chef’s special was AMAZING. I normally don’t like roe, but there isn’t a single sushi lover that wouldn’t like this. Salmon and tuna wrapped around rice, topped with roe and some garnish, wrapped with avocado.
I am so sad I can’t eat here every day. I will miss you Mori!!

All I have to say is OMG!!! It is so hard to find good food in Kitsap. And this is one of them. The sushi rolls were fresh and perfectly mixed together. The salad and the miso soup was so refreshing. Setting up for those yummy rolls. This place is Off the Chain good!!!

Wow… Just wow… I can’t even believe how lucky we are to have such amazing quality Japanese cuisine tucked into our little town of Poulsbo. I had the sashimi plate, my wife has the crunch roll, and we split a chicken teriyaki bento. Every last bite was incredible. Fast, friendly service and great ambiance. This will be a regular stop for us.

I heard many good things about this spot, so we drove out from Bremerton to give it a shot. They have a very large menu with tons of variety and options. We were seated promptly and had water and menus also promptly. We decided on a handful of things to try: Gyoza, Shumai, Inari Bomb (Eel), I got Japchae and my partner got a tofu seafood soup and we got the Mori Special Roll. The food came out very quickly, maybe 5-10 minutes max. We started with apps. Gyoza was good, standard nothing to scream about. Inari honestly was the best thing we ate of the night, very good, lots of flavor. The Shumai isn’t not my favorite, but I dont like Shumai, partner said it was meh. Needed flavor, tasted prepackaged. Onto the mains, partner loved his Tofu Seafood soup, good flavor, good spice, he cleaned the whole stone bowl. Unfortunately my main didn’t go to plan, which to some degree is my fault, I ordered something I’ve never had before, because it looked good on the menu. The japchae (to my assumption) is normally served cold. Well mine came out scalding hot, it was rather hard to eat, I asked my partner if it supposed to be hot and hard to eat. He said no. He tried it and concluded because the noodles are so hot, they dont break easily when you chew, and then they are hot so you have a mouth full of noodles that are hot and wont break. To top that off, I found a hair in my food, I brushed it off and thought nothing of it. Accidents happen, the chicken in my japchae was wonderful so I kept eating that, until I found a 2nd hair. At this point I pushed the food away, our server came around and asked if I wanted a box, I politely told her no and showed her the hair, she profusely apologized and asked if id like anything else. I said no, she gave us a credit for the whole entree. She was great and felt awful, I appreciated that. Our total after that entree being removed was about $65. Not to bad for everything we got. I would come back, to try Teriyaki or their bentos. Almost forgot to add, we did get a sushi roll! That was good, had cream cheese which my partner doesnt mind, not my favorite but the seared salmon was excellent.

This place was always good but now it’s GREAT! Excellent service. Excellent, hot and prompt food. Amazing beef teriyaki. Excellent atmosphere with comfy large tables with perfect spot lighting over food. Great TVs at both ends. Highly recommend.

Mori has become one of our favorite restaurants around. Service, quality, flavor are great and consistent. Prices are very fair for this area. The sushi and Korean food is top notch.

Very good sushi! The Mori roll is fantastic, so many good flavors with a hint of grilled salmon on top… buttery smooth! The Cherry Blossom was also VERY good if you like tuna. Will definitely be back!

Okay so honestly the sushi here was incredibly fresh and flavorful and only ever so slightly less amazing than Seattle. If you want really amazing sushi on this side of the sound, this is the place for you. Bento boxes are solid.
