Had breakfast here and was not great, service was eh, food was ehh and wasn’t much seating due to dirty tables. Finally got our food and we found a hair in our food!!! Then they have the audacity to say it isn’t there’s . Don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see we don’t have nappy hair!! Got an attitude so we paid and left, absolutely ridiculous

Walked in and immediately was welcomed in by all the beautiful faces this place had to offer. On top of the great hospitality was the food tasting like it was made with love. I’m not from here but the hospitality sure made this traveling soldier want to move here. Thank you Waffle House Port Allen!

Anyone who comes to this WH regularly probably knows Kimbo. From the first time we saw her here the general atmosphere of the staff started to improve. I and my bestie are semi regulars – a couple times a month. When we walk in Kimbo recognizes us and it’s like we are all old friends. Welcoming atmosphere doesn’t even begin to describe it when she is here. Today I walked in and she had already had them start my order. Her interaction with coworkers is out of this world. Not sure if she is the reason but unlike other WH I go to, you don’t hear trash talk and personal drama between employees here. .

They play around too much in this restaurant that they always get the food wrong. Every-time you do a pick-up order it’s wrong. I just watch one of the dudes put raw bacon on the grill then touch the inside of the container that he had to put my cook food in ( with the same glove ). Mind you he didn’t changed the gloves when he just finish mopping the food and went straight to puttting raw bacon on the grill for the man sitting next to me. I was trying to tell him hold up but they was talking so much with each other I gave up. I pick up my food at 6:20 am, it’s currently 6:49 when they had to cook me fresh bacon to add to the bowl of food they forgot it on.

We are on the road a lot and eat at lots of Waffle Houses and always have a great experience….until today…Walked in and not a single one of the 8 people working acknowledged us…we looked around for some where CLEAN to sit and finally chose a booth, the table was clean but we had to wipe out the benches ourselves and the floor underneath had food all.over it, our waitress Amber greeted us and apologized for the mess she said there were three years olds eating there earlier and she hadn’t had time to sweep. Im thinking to myself…Ummm there are 5 people in here eating, 8 employees that I can see huddled in the kitchen area and no one can find the time to make the dining area presentable…oh maybe because they were too busy gossiping about previous customers to do their job. Amber is really nice and takes our order, she gets it to us quickly…great job cooks and Ms. Amber!! Food is great, we look over and see Ms Torrey attempting to sweep with a straw broom, she was sweeping at the floor and flicking up napkins and dust toward where we were sitting….we quietly mention to Amber that we are trying to eat and bring her attention to the sweeper, she drops her head and says Ms Torrey they are eating and motions to the broom as if to say noon chalantly…not to sweep in that area….Ms Torrey gets an attitude and very loudly says Really…. Really….like I’m going to sweep by them….I was going to sweep to the end of the bar….we are sitting at the table three feet from the end of the bar and she already had me feeling dirt hitting my feet and smelling the dust in the air….she slams a chair under the lower bar and puts the broom away…Amber approaches us and apologized again…I’ve worked in the food industry and it is a cardinal eule you DO NOT SWEEP and stir up dust when customers are eating. management at this location should seriously contact Undercover Boss!

Use to enjoy eating here with my mom. We just tried to eat with my 1 year old and needed a boothe 30 min wait because some genius thought it would be a good idea to remove 3 tables for 2 take out windows when everyone comes inside for take out. 40k a year this location will lose by removing those 3 tables.
