Went to babes on plum for dinner tonight, and the food was ok at best, saw some of the burgers and tenderloins come out and think maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I’ll give that a shot next time maybe. I had the cheese balls and they were alright however they were very hot! The prime rib horseshoe was very ehhh. The onions needed to be cooked longer. The food was again very hot! (Which is good). Seemed like our waitress was running around more then anything. The other waitress talked to me just as much if not more than my actual waitress so was very confused on that. However maybe she was new. The bathroom was clean, however there is only one toilet per bathroom, and they share a sink which is located outside of the bathroom.

Just placed a order for the open face roast beef paid for double. Nothing but fat in it. You have to pick to get the meat. There resolution to bring it back for a new one one or a 5 dollar certificate. After I paid 32 dollars. Won’t be getting that again. No one has time to go back and re pick up

Happy to have found this place. It’s been a long time since I have had such a flavorful and satisfying meal from a pub style restaurant. Fried chicken was on special. The chicken had so much flavor. It tasted like grandma’s southern fried with perfectly crispy skin and juicy meat without being too greasy. The white gravy was also delicious. I usually dislike white gravy but that was my only choice for the potatoes. I would absolutely eat it again.

Our waitress was very friendly, personable, and attentive. I hope we get her again when we go back. The restaurant was clean and had an inviting atmosphere.

For desert, I recommend the caramel apple pie! The brown butter cake was also good but the pie was better.

10/5 Looking forward to going back!

Really good food & excellent service. We will be back. The dill pickle cheese curds alone are worth the trip, & the tenderloin was huge & delicious. The menu is extensive & we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

I and a few friends have made a point of going to Babe’s on Plum when I’m in the area. The last two times I was not happy with the meal. The hamburger or cheeseburger (if they remember to place cheese on burger) which happened to my a friend, was cold.
The last time was today we both ordered babes cheeseburgers. The bun was cold, the meat and cheese, also the bacon etc. was cold! homemade chips were delicious. I think alot of things are pre cooked!
My friends burger was also cold! Cheese wasn’t melted burger was cold it was yesterday around lunch time. I paid $27. For a meal and only ate a piece of the burger, my friend also only ate a small piece. Im sure the waitress notice this.

Food looked better online then in person. Honestly I think Kroger’s or Walmart fried chicken is better

Great food! Definitely not just a bar. The horseshoes were unique and delicious! We had the Babe’s Shoe and Hamburger Shoe. The cheese sauce wasn’t the artificial kind. We also had friend pickles which were tasty! Worth a stop in for sure!

First time eating here. If ever in Havana again, we’ll definitely stop, and maybe next time, try the fish sandwich. We had gotten the onion rings, which I do recommend, we also got the Babe’s shoe and the Tenderloin sandwich. We did this so we could share, but it never happened. Why? Because we never made it to the Tenderloin, oh, we cut a part off to try it and let me say this is a must try. Breading was perfect, and the pork was so full of flavor, and juicy and the “M” word (some don’t like that word) with each chew it was still juicy. We made the decision to just eat the Babe cause we thought the Tenderloin would be better reheated. We could barely finish the Babe, and we only got a half of one (I’d hate to see how big a full order is. We really like the Babe. The patty had a nice charcoal flavor, we liked also that it had other topping on it as well. Would we get them again, yes, most definitely. Had to ask for tape so I could close my to-go container, and this was after I took it apart and placed everything together like a puzzle. Almost had to ask for another container. That Tenderloin could feed 2 people. So, like I said, yes, we’d go back. The food was awesome. The service was great, and the atmosphere was very cozy. So yes, if you’re thinking of stopping for the price and portions and everything as a whole, it is worth it

Visited on a road trip down rte. 66. The seasonal cranberry bourbon cocktail was delicious! Catfish was meaty and not greasy. Mac n cheese was a bit dry but mashed potatoes were amazing! The staff was friendly. Place was “bar” clean and pleasant overall.

Nice little place. My review won’t be that great however. We were seated right away, given menus and drinks. We ordered shortly thereafter. I ordered a burger and sweet potato casserole and she ordered a hamburger horseshoe with Mexican corn soup which she said was hot and delicious. My burger was not assembled well onions were stringing from the plate as they brought it to the table, I opened it and tried to straighten it so I could eat it when I noticed the bacon was curled into hard twisted balls and couldn’t be arranged which I assume was the original problem when it left the kitchen, very sloppy. The horseshoe on the other hand was so heavily salted she could only eat about half of it. I tasted a forkful and my god the salt hurt my mouth. Had I known from the beginning I would have sent it back but she is kinder than I and tried to eat as much as she could and didn’t want to box what was left. The waitress took my dishes and we waited and waited and waited for the check until finally we went to the bar and asked to be checked out. We paid and left, not good, not going back.
