Great spot for some authentic Mexican food. The tacos were delicious. meat was tender and good flavor. Salsas did not disappoint. Not too spicy or too mild. Just right. Quesadilla was also good. I highly recommend this place if you’re a local or tourist. I’m a Texan and I know good Mexican food when I eat some.

Anthony Bourdain once remarked that your body is not a temple, rather it is an amusement park. Taqueria El Farolito was a ride of a lifetime. The ups and downs of what I would like to call the “El Farolito experience” was one wild ride, please try to compare this to the ride everyone waits for. Which leads me in perfectly to how one is first greeted. While the area outside of this fine establishment can be a bit unpredictable, I did trust that I would br safe in this restaurant. When you finally get into the restaurant (after waiting in a justifiable line) I was pleased to see some bolted wall art of an Avengers poster. I really enjoyed this because I felt that they were sending the message of a welcoming energy and something for all ages. Along with the Avengers poster, you will also be greeted with cash only signs. Damas y caballeros, please understand they only take cash. If you are up in line for the ride and you still don’t remember my remarks as well as quite literally the writing on the walls, there is an ATM conveniently placed by the registers. If you or your paying partner is anything like my long term, long distance, low commitment casual boyfriend and you forgot to bring that cash money the gentlemen of El Farolito have you covered. So now that you are prepared and have heard some of the basics let’s order… I ordered the super veggie burrito. During the time when I was ordering I was pleasantly presented with the show of a lifetime. Not only are the fine men who work here kind and bubbly, but they interact with what I would like to call the fan base of El Farolito in an entertaining and engaging way. While there is no predicting what may happen at your time here, me and my long term, long distance, low commitment casual boyfriend were able to witness a comical interaction within the restaurant(this entire interaction happened in Spanish my long term, long distance, low commitment casual boyfriend and I can only assume what happened).
Our food came quick (just like my long term, long distance, low commitment casual boyfriend has been doing as of recently [trust me, that’s a big reason why he paid{and I definitely would’ve made him get on Bart all alone if he didn’t(with the restaurant is conveniently located by)}])! Ah yes the food, once we were presented with our burrito babies, I was expecting something really good and they delivered. Once we unwrapped for the first time that night we came to the joint decision (without even speaking a word to each other [if it’s a silent meal you know it’s good]). Lovely burrito itself and my long term, long distance, low commitment casual boyfriend and I definitely agreed (among with quite a few other people in the city) that El Farolito was just what the doctor ordered.
To end where we began, the ambiance from the art to the casual rock music accompanied by the screams of joy from all this was an all and all full FIVE STAR RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE.
XOXOXO had the time of my life and 10/10 will be returning (especially with their gracious hours of being open)!
