I ordered from Randy’s Pizza on MLK in Durham through Uber Eats for their buy one get one free pizza special. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with chicken, green peppers, and onions, along with a 12 inch steak and cheese and an order of onion rings for pick-up.
The pizza was drenched in grease to the point where it was barely edible. It looked and tasted sloppy, overly oily, and poorly prepared. It was not something I would feel comfortable serving to anyone.
The steak and cheese was just as disappointing. It was dry, flavorless, and clearly not made with care. The bread was tough and the meat lacked seasoning.
The onion rings were completely inedible. They were burnt, overly crispy, and tasted like old oil. I ended up throwing them away immediately.
I spent over $60 even with the buy one get one free deal, and the quality did not match the price at all. This was a complete waste of money.
I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this location to anyone looking for quality food in Durham.

Best pizza in Durham!!!!! And BEST NY pizza. I lived in NY for almost 30 years and Randy’s is as good as any top notch NY pizza shop. Amazing food and amazing people and service. Look forward to dining there again!

Another great lunch. I had the steak and cheese sub with chips and my kids had a slice of pepperoni pizza. Everything was hot and fresh. ** A recommendation I have is to ask for extra steak. Especially if you’re sharing. We will definitely come back.

I was pleasantly surprised by my slice. It really was like a slice you would get in New York City. The crust was crisp yet tender and folded in half properly. The ratio and amount of sauce and cheese was appropriate. My only two slight issues were that I thought the sauce was a bit bland and I would have preferred that the end crust had been a bit larger. Inside seating was a bit snug but there were three nice outside tables.

Great NY style pizza, hot and cold subs, pasta as well as other Italian cuisine, being calzones, my favorite ham and cheese. Salads and garlic knots round out menu. Their NY cheesecake with or without real strawberry topping is SOO good, without question some of best in Durham. Voted Best of the Traingle by the Indy in 14, 15 and 2016! Small but cozy dining room is always bustling with a crowd, including a small outdoor dining area. Fast, friendly service makes Randys one of our favorite, pick up or delivery, pizza joints in town!!! Free parking and wheel chair accessible as well as restrooms. Check in with Yelp for specials!

I have one thing that was a minor issue when I came her last time to get my order to go. It was so HOT inside the restaurant that it was hard to breath and I wouldn’t be able to stand eating in. My wife and I both got great pizza and I loved the food that I got which was 2 slices of pepperoni thin crust. I had no choice but to get it to go tho which was bc of the temp inside. When I left with my slices I had started a full body sweat that I wasn’t expecting to get inside the restaurant but it was more heat inside the restaurant than what it was outside and I think it was about 199 degrees in the shade at that time last week or so ! I probably could of heated the slice up on my dashboard of the car but that won’t nothing compared to the temp in that building. It’s was pretty bad and I felt sorry for the work staff that was working bc they also had meat sweats bc of the fire breathing dragon they had kidnapped in the back.
