I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bistro Peru, a local gem nestled in Sanford, and I simply must share my delightful culinary experience.

From the moment I entered Bistro Peru, I was met with nothing short of outstanding service, combined with an authentically warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes one feel instantly at home. The staff are not only remarkably courteous but also incredibly sweet, their genuine warmth contributing to the overall ambience of this Peruvian haven.

The dishes I sampled could only be described as phenomenally authentic and incredibly tasty. Starting with the crispy Chicharrón and flavorful Yuca, the meal was off to an appetizing start. The Lomo Saltado showcased the beautiful fusion of Peruvian flavors with perfectly cooked beef and a balance of spices. The Fish and Chips, a delightful surprise on a Peruvian menu, were simply delectable, with the fish being perfectly cooked, and the chips, crispy and delicious. The Cuban Pork Bowl, a hearty and flavorful dish, was a culinary tour de force. And last but not least, the Calamari, golden and crispy on the outside while tender inside, left me in seafood bliss.

I wholeheartedly recommend Bistro Peru, and not just for a one-time experience. This is the kind of place you’ll want to frequent, to enjoy a different taste of Peru with every visit. Each dish serves as a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to maintaining the authentic essence of Peruvian cuisine, while also offering something unique and tantalizing for the local food scene.

Bistro Peru is indeed a welcome addition to the Sanford culinary landscape, bringing an exotic touch to the local food scene. I sincerely hope this restaurant continues to enrich our town with its fantastic food and exceptional service for many years to come. If you’re looking for a new dining experience, don’t hesitate to visit Bistro Peru – it’s an absolute must!

Small family buisness just starting out, they are super super friendly and have great potential to become a growing resteraunt down the road. Menu is a bit small but the items available have great presentation and flavor.

Meal started with a complimentary Canchita (Peruvian Popcorn) good flavoring not too salty.

Then i ordered a delicous papa a la huancaina (Boiled Potatoes in a Peru style aji chilly cheese sauce) and an inca cola (Peruvian brand soda).

For my meal I ordered bistec a lo pobre ( Steak, Rice, Fries, Eggs, and Salad). The steak was well cooked and seasoned and the sunny side up egg complimented well. Rice was fresh and had a great ratio for sticky yet clean. Fries were Peruvian Authentic made with the right potatoes. Salad to finish was a nice touch.

I asked for additional sauces to compliment my meal and was given a sweeter green chilli sauce and a red spicy chilly sauce that has a nice kicker in it. Would highly recommend.

Best Peruvian food we’ve had since moving to Florida! Everything we had was delicious and my Peruvian wife was thoroughly satisfied, particularly with the made to order ceviche.

The owner/server was delightful and we had a great time talking with her.

We wish Bistro Peru was closer to our home in Flagler County, but Sanford is only an hour away so we’ll be back whenever possible!

Let me just say it. I’m happy that there’s more of a variety in DTS, but this food is just okay. I’ll be real. I’ve eaten a lot of Peruvian food and this is just okay. The ceviche I was given I feel did not spend enough time in the lime juice so it was really raw. I asked for spice. It was not spicy and the lomo was dry, like Popeyes biscuit with no drink dry. I might give them another chance but I don’t know. I wish them luck. They did just open so they might be working out the kinks but the chef is supposedly pretty established.

First time trying their food even tho we did not dine in but rather placed an order to go. I can say hands down excellent food, friendly staff and very nice environment. They place a little side dish of corn (Canchita) while we waited for the food.. This to me was like the cherry on top as it made me feel like a restaurant back home (Peru) we ordered Tallarines verdes, lomo saltado, salchipapa, arroz chaufa mix and Tallarin saltado and a real lúcuma ice cream.. everything was delicious! Wish you guys lots of blessings and good vibes! ✨ We will definitely coming back ✨

The steak was cooked exactly to perfection, it was season just right not overly seasoned or under but it left you wondering about the next bite. The presentation of the plate was very neat, and garnished just right. For the money, this is probably the best steak in town. Service was a plus! We will be back! Thank you.

The staff was very nice! The food was delicious! We ordered the Yuca fries and Chicharrón which I didn’t take photo’s because we were starving but I did take a photo of our main meal which was the Tallarin Verde – Linguini al Pesto. Overall a pleasant and delicious experience.

Stumbled into this place by accident when my friends and I came in for a beer and appetizers. Came back the very next day for lunch and I have no regrets! Food was delicious. I had been looking for Peruvian food in central Florida for a while with no success. First day we had yuca, papá a la huancaina, and calamari. Everything was delicious. Next day I had lomo saltado and it was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend it.

My daughter and I have visited twice. Both times we have ordered a cup of beans and rice topped with an egg, and the bistec a la pobre. The food is amazing and cooked to perfection. The service is excellent and I will continue to come back time and time again.
