Oakie J’s Lunchbox offers a variety of foods including hand breaded tenderloins and chicken strips, fresh burgers made daily and daily specials. There’s always 12 flavors of hand-dipped ice cream available for cups and cones as well as many other flavors packed in pints. A variety of shakes, malts and sundaes are made using vanilla soft serve. Dole soft serve is always a customer favorite and is packed in pints and seasonally available for cups and cones. We offer indoor and outdoor seating. Cash and cards are the preferred method of payment with Square charging a minimal fee for processing. Out of respect for all customers, all animals must remain in vehicles at all times and there is no smoking on the premises. We hope to see you soon!

The customer service is amazing and the food is even better. My boyfriend and I went to grab some food after hearing good things about this establishment. I got the oakie strip+fries and my boyfriend got oakie loin+fries. Then I got the strawberry shortcake. It was super affordable. It’s a good place to take the family!

Went for the first time I went, I had never heard of them before. They had sadly ran out of most of their food but it was a Sunday after 4. The loosey was delicious and decently priced. The baked potato was everything especially for how big it was and the price! Definitely coming back!!

My inaugural visit to Oakie J’s on 6/20/24 was perfect — a warm, welcoming vibe that embraced me as soon as I walked in; an excellent, reasonably priced lunch (cheeseburger, American fries & chocolate sundae); and the genuine pleasure of meeting Becky, Mark, and the restaurant’s namesake, Miss Oaklee. They were friendly, witty and down-to-earth, and I genuinely enjoyed their company. As I told a friend, it was “hospitality on steroids!”
So, I extend my sincere thanks to these hard-working folks at Oakie J’s. It’s a great place to dine, and I definitely will be returning in the not-too-distant future. You guys rock!

Wonderful little fast food venue nestled in the trees. Pristine clean and neat. Very pleasant owners/operators that add a personal touch. Ice cream variety is amazing and the Dole whips are very refreshing.

Food was mediocre at best, only good if you’re looking for something new. Felt like i wad eating in a warehouse with tables, which honesty isn’t so bad I guess. Theres some other issues unrelated to food as well, but the staff was kind.

Good food, tasty shakes. Great staff and a nice little seating area. Nice selection of food stuffs, and they have changing flavors on their ice cream dishes too! I’d recommend trying if you’re near New London.
