I looked for a Sunday brunch and found Kitchen Notes. I had high expectations after having stayed at the Omni a few times. The staff is always exceptional and my stays have been great. Unfortunately the brunch fell short of the standards of the rest of the hotel. It was $36 which isn’t outrageous but if you want an omelette you have to order it at the table and it’s an additional $6. There are a few other items like waffles that must be ordered at the table also but they are included in the buffet. Now for the rest of the buffet, it’s good but basic. The biscuit bar is nice but not enough to carry the rest of the meal. All in it’s a good meal but not great. Sorry guys but I still love to stay at your hotel.

I’m struggling to give them one star, and they get it for the atmosphere only. We live in Knoxville, traveled there for Thanksgiving, which we had done in 2014 and loved it. The cost was 75.00 per person and that isn’t unreasonable for the Thanksgiving buffet we enjoyed in 2014. We went there with the same expectations. If we had any idea how much the food has declined, we would’ve never planned our holiday around this. We planned to go there to eat and then to Opryland. Opryland was worth every penny we paid, but lunch was not. We walked in and there were huge shrimp that looked delicious and we’re impressed until we started through the buffet and then started to eat. The shrimp looked far better than it tasted, but we still had the buffet to look forward to it so we thought. Let me say up front, we are not picky eaters and fairly easy to please. The yogurt and tongs for that were decent, but yogurt isn’t what we went for. They offered turkey and prime rib. Nine of us tried the prime rib, and although the turkey had a good flavor, it was extremely dry. The sides were very limited including mashed potatoes (with peelings, which is not kid friendly), some other side that wasn’t recognizable, only determined by label in front of it, some type of dressing that was very thick and chewy, Caesar salad, and lettuce with a little cheese scattered on it. The other part of the bar was breakfast food. We weren’t there for breakfast so we didn’t even bother. We decided to go for desserts and these tastes like something selected from Costco or Sam’s. When the bill came, it was over 200.00 for my husband and I. They added a gratuity for four adults and one child. We paid the bill and then took pics to the manager of when we’d been there years ago and told him we’d come back and brought my new husband and grandbaby so they could enjoy what we had years ago. We also asked why there was gratuity for a self service bar. He said he hadn’t even thought of that. Nothing was offered for our legitimate concerns, just sounded sympathetic and said he would voice my concerns, but didn’t ask for contact information. This was a terrible experience for our holiday and what a waste of money!

Hands down the best breakfast buffet I have ever had in my life. Stone cheese grits were amazing. Cast iron pancake delicious. The biscuits were melt in your mouth delicious. Great coffee and coffee to go offered. Bacon was perfectly cooked along with the most delicious sausage links and patties. Will be back again and again.

I was really debating on giving 4 or 5 stars because I give it a 4.5 overall. The half star deduction comes from the oatmeal and gravy not being hot enough to my liking. But I had the buffet, which I rarely do, and that is the biggest issues with buffets, right? That being said, the flavors and choices were unique and wonderful. Absolutely loved the biscuits and the sausages and even though I’m not a pancake fan (prefer French toast or waffles), the skillet pancakes were amazing. Very unusual and nothing like a pancake. Probably why I loved it so much! Get it with the fluffy butter and fabulous jam. My husband ordered the fish sandwich with fries and a side of hot chicken. Fish sandwich was salmon which he wasn’t expecting. It was decent. Fries were great and piping hot (and I AM a fry connoisseur) and the hot chicken was not very spicy. So if you are expecting Nashville burn-your-mouth-hot, this isn’t it but, it had a wonderful flavor and if you enjoy lower spiciness that doesn’t hurt, this is great. Bread underneath was yummy too. Beautiful space, excellent service.

Such a cute little spot located inside the Omni hotel. I got the shortcakes without lemon curd (due to food allergy) and adding of maple blueberry sausage patty. The shortcakes were very good with hints of vanilla paired with TN honey it was amazing. The maple sausage was not very good, it has no traditional sage sausage taste and it did not taste like blueberries or maple. My server was very sweet and took it off my bill. I will definitely be back again.

We went to Kitchen Notes for Sunday Brunch and it was very good! A good selection of food, everything from fruit, yogurt, and oatmeal, to eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes and a several types of biscuits with either gravy or multiple choices of jam and honey. Everything was presented nicely and was fresh and hot. The atmosphere of the restaurant is chic kitchen farm to table. Elegantly decorated and plenty of room for all guests. We enjoyed our food and we will be back!

We came here for lunch because I loved the farm to table concept. We ate in Rashas section and not only was she great but the food was incredible. We were convinced to come for brunch the next day and it was even better. There wasn’t one thing that we ate that we didn’t like. Even with the buffet the pancakes and waffles were individually ordered so you still got those fresh even with the buffet. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

The atmosphere was nice. Open and full of light. I had the breakfast bar which was unimpressive. The waitress cleared our table when we got up to get a second helping, So we had to start all over again with drinks etc.. on the breakfast bar, there was no option for turkey sausage or vegetarian sausage So if you don’t eat pork you’re limited. I thought it was very mediocre for $38. I was sorry that I didn’t go to waffle House . Perhaps I should have ordered an omelet.

Had a fantastic meal. There was a short 15 minute wait and the restaurant is inside of a hotel that I wasn’t staying at. I rode a scooter so I’m unsure of the parking. Both the hostess and server were very friendly. I ordered orange juice, the cast iron waffle with nashville hot chicken and blueberry maple sausage. Food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. My server Rasha was very personable and responsive. There was nice music playing and an open inviting atmosphere. I would definitely come here again. So long Nashville!
