This review is for their satellite location at MCI. They need extensive oversight!
I love their brisket chili and have been responsible for no less than 20 people trying it. I described it as delicious, and full of brisket chunks.
The last two times I have stopped at Meat Mitch in the airport, we ordered their brisket chili. Sunday afternoon we ordered two bowls to go, planning to eat it later. THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF BRISKET IN EITHER OF OUR BOWLS OF CHILI. NOT ONE. It was full of beans and tomatoes.
When I ordered brisket chili from this location, two or three months ago, my chili was not put in a bowl with a lid, It was put in the same container as a sandwich. By the time I got home, Much of the container had absorbed the liquid And transferred onto my car seat.
This location was good when it first opened, but I don’t see us stopping again. They will ruin all the hard work and reputation of the team at the Leawood location.

Out On An Adventure Together
In KC there are barbecue places everywhere so finding one that both clean and has good service is key. The food here was really good and we tried a variety of entrées. The service was friendly and only stopped at the table a bit to check on us. It was nice that they didn’t interrupt our meal unnecessarily. The plating was good and organized. They use the Toast system for their POS. We will add this to the list of place to visit again.

Stopped in for lunch to try out for the 1st time. Spacious spot with really good indoor and outdoor seating areas. A full bar for seating inside with lots of TVs.
Ordered the all star platter with pork spare ribs, and jalapeno-jack sausage for the 2 meats, with potato salad and jalapeño cheesy corn as the sides. All of the food was really good. Ribs in particular. Multiple options on sauces as well.
Service was excellent. Riley waited on me and was very attentive and personable. Great waitress.
Will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu.

I attended a dinner here with a company group. There were about 16 of us. The service was orderly and smooth. I had a plate with ribs, brisket, and burnt ends. The meats were all very good. They have a selection of sauces on the table. I think I tried them all. They all had different flavor profiles for sure. I will be back the next time I an in KC.

Carnivores and BBQ lovers paradise. If you love meat and bbq you should consider visiting Meat Mitch Barbecue soon.

My recommendation is to order the Winners Win entree. You get several ribs, burnt ends, and some slabs of brisket.
The ribs are tender and the meat falls off the bone.
The brisket is also very tender and is some of the best in the city.
The burnt ends are good, but they are still perfecting the cook time on these. They could be more tender. They still taste great but you might find them to be more tender at some other notable bbq joints around town.
I have subbed them out with salmon before.
As a side I ordered the rosemary carrots and beans. You also get two slices of toast and some picked onions and pickles as pallet refreshers.
For $31 (adding carrots this is a bit more) this is a fantastic deal on some very good tasting bbq. The rosemary carrots are delicious,too.
Check out online menu too as they have weekday specials you might like. The burger and fries for $12 on monday is my favorite.

First time coming here and everything about it was amazing! From the moment I walked in the door everybody was so polite, waitress was very informing about anything I asked and all my questions were answered. The food was top notch… sooo good! All around was an outstanding experience and I definitely will be returning!

Visiting from out of town. Ordered a full slab of ribs and couple sides. I was disappointed with the ribs. They were soo tough that I could barely pull apart or separate the bones. Half of it was completely inedible. Disappointed because I love KC BBQ and because I spent $44 to make myself feel that way

How do you go wrong at Meat Mitch….YOU DONT! Come here. Get the BBQ…get cocktails…the Bussel sprouts are simple to dip for, brisket….yeah can’t skip it, chicken wings…killer, pulled pork is succulent, burnt ends…so juicy amd tender. Dont skip this place!

We were recommended to come here on a trip to Kansas City by a local while staying in Leawood. The food was mediocre at best. The brisket lacked fat, all meats were pretty dry. The cheesy jalapeño corn was good. You know it’s not going to be great when the server has to tell you before eating to use salt and pepper on the mac and cheese because they don’t season it enough. I would not choose to eat here again if I had options, but wouldn’t turn it down if it was the only option.
