The Boss Platter was tasty, everything seemed like it was from the day before. I placed my order over the phone and had to pay over the phone they told me 22 minutes. So at that time everything should have been freshly made. Everything tastes dry until the very next day when I reheated it. Call to speak with the manager in regards to this issue. Left a message and no one returned. We want to support our black owned businesses but we need our black owned businesses to support the people that are supporting them and give them the quality of food that they are all talking about. I came in on 2/16 and still didn’t receive a call back.

Food and service was excellent! Try to place your order via phone or online as the wait time can be 20-30 minutes. No indoor dining, strictly carry out. Ordered the turkey knuckles with yams and Mac and cheese. Excellent!

If you want the taste of a meal that feels like you spent all day in the kitchen, you won’t be disappointed!! My husband and I both had the Soul leg (no I didn’t share) and it was enough for 2 days. I’m convinced somebody’s grandma, from the south, is in the back cooking

I saw a TikTok showing their ox tail mac and cheese and I had to check it out for myself. I ordered during lunch on a Saturday and there was a 20 minute wait, not too bad. It did not disappoint, the portion was huge, the flavors were excellent and I would definitely go back. I got a corn bread muffin (delicious) and a serving of banana pudding but I’ll skip the pudding next time. For the price, you got not nearly enough and it wasn’t good if I’m honest. Not bad enough to take a star off though, I’ll be back for sure.

Very limited interaction with the person taking my order. She wasn’t welcoming. I ordered $76 worth of food and got $30 worth tops. I ordered a 4 protein hibatchi bowl with rice, 6 wings that were Wingdings, paid extra $2 for garlic parm and $3 honey jerk, 2 $4 cups of koolaid not jars as advertised. The rice was uncle Ben’s bagged microwaved rice, the chicken wasn’t whole wings for $10. The flavor was cool but for the money spent they were stingy! Do better Detroit I can’t recommend this place to my people

I spent $113 on lamb chop dinner, oxtail dinner and turkey knuckle dinner. Nice amount of food. Lamb chops were ok. Good flavor. The turkey knuckles weren’t seasoned enough but were tender. The oxtails were entirely too salty. If I don’t have high blood pressure, I will by eating the oxtails. The sides were okay .

Indubitably a meal to remember and make me do a spin back around the block for seconds. I had the oxtail dinner with Mac and cheese and the garlic & cheese broccoli….For those that are skeptical about the environment it’s all love, safe, and welcoming. The customer service was awesome and I even ran into a couple of tubi celebrities, which was cool but the entire experience was pretty cool and the food was even better DO IF YOU WANT SOME GUD COOKING YOU MIGHT WANNA CHECK OUT, “KARRIED AWAY.”

This place was just okay. The oxtails had good flavor, but they only served me three small pieces with little meat on them. The dish came with plenty of rice, but the gravy was a bit scarce. It’s disappointing that you have to pay extra for things like yum yum sauce, which I think should come with the chicken hibachi by default. They also charge for gravy and cranberry sauce if you want to put them on your cornbread dressing. It would be nice if at least one of these were included. I feel a bit frustrated because content creators seem to get more food and a better experience than regular customers.

This is definitely a build a back workshop. The reason they don’t let you eat there is because everyone would be in a food coma. All the food is so good. All the food comes in good sized portions. If you want all day taste in about 20 minutes go to Jay’s. Also don’t sleep on the turkey knuckles. Do you like slow cooked and flavorful turkey? Do you like gravy and succulent meat? Then don’t be afraid, get the turkey knuckles. Thank you Jay for taste and the heads up about trying the knuckles.
